I recently switched to a Nexus 5x (my first usb-c device), and therefore needed more than the single wall-wort charger provided with the phone from the manufacturer. This cable feels quality; while I have only used for a few days, I have no concern of fraying/breaking. The cable provided rapid charging for my Nexus.

I purchased a few additional usb-c chargers/cables based on the positive recommendation of Benson Leung, the google engineer that I believe is the foremost authority on usb-c compliance. For those unaware, google Benson Leung to see the risks of using non-compliant usb-c cables/chargers. While Benson has not weighed in on this cable, as of writing this review, I decided to purchase it based on my prior experience with Anker products (all of which have been very positive). I was very impressed with the quality.

While a bit pricey, I plan on purchasing a few more of these.

Have to change my review on this item to 1 star. I bought 2 of these for use in 2 different cars. First one stopped working while on a trip out of town. My friend that was driving the car at that time said he heard a ticking sound and we finally traced it to the charger. It was no longer charging my Nexus 5X or the other phone use the type A port. I am currently out on a separate trip out of town in a rental car and the second charger that I ordered has stopped working as well. It also started making the same ticking sound and no longer charges my phones. Did I get a bad batch or something? Time to look for another brand of charger.

    EDIT:
The company got in touch with me, sent me a new cable and the new cable is not defective. but the fit is still not great. you have to force it in for it to click. but now at least I don't have to worry about my phone not charging over night. Overall compared to the original Nexus 5x cable this is lower quality.
    ORIGINAL:
I bought this to charge my Nexus 5x and it's a very bad cable, I would've returned it if I wasn't this lazy.
The ends are longer and stick out of the phone. it doesn't fit properly and I have to find a sweet spot for it to actually charge my phone. A lot of mornings I wake up to a dead or low battery phone because it just stopped charging the phone over night. A cable has a very simple functionality that this item fails to accomplish.

Great product. Quick shipping! I bought this as I got a new phone and forgot my charger at home when I came to San Diego for the weekend. I was able to hop onto Amazon, order this and have it arrive the very next day (Sunday.)
On to the product itself. Anker has been growing in popularity and I can see why. The products they sell truly cater to the mobile crowd. They have the best portable chargers and some of the best cables I've ever used. I am looking forward to buying plenty more anker products in the near future, as I have to rebuild my cable collection from lightning cables to USB type c.

When I received this cable I was initially a little suspicious. I bought them as I have had excellent luck with Anker products. I have to come to rely on them for high quality and good prices.
The thin cable at first concerned me, but after using them I am convinced they meet Anker's standards for a high quality product.

Well made, nicely overmolded, and despite the thin cable support full current needed to fast charge my Nexus 5X.

I recommend them to anyone needing a similar cable.
