Though Milos Forman won’t direct Harrison Ford in a remake of “Dodsworth” until 1996, Forman will now have plenty of time to perfect the script being done by Alfred Uhry (“Driving Miss Daisy”). Forman took a nasty spill recently while skiing in Arosa, Switzerland, breaking his left shoulder. He has been convalescing in New York, and is concentrating on the Warner Bros, remake.
Forman has had his last two directorial attempts derailed, as the sumo saga “Hell Camp” got canceled, and Forman left “Disclosure” over philosophical differences with screenwriter-producer Michael Crichton. Forman’s agent, Robert Lantz, vowed that Forman will squeeze in another film before getting rolling on “Dodsworth.” “He will work on a film in 1995,” vowed Lantz, who said the “Amadeus” director is deciding between several project offers.
