How plants adopt themselves to avoid photorespiration?

Plants have evolved mechanisms to minimize photorespiration, such as C4 and CAM photosynthesis. In C4 plants, carbon fixation and the Calvin cycle are spatially separated in different cell types, allowing for more efficient CO2 fixation. CAM plants open their stomata at night to take up CO2 and store it as malic acid, which is then used for photosynthesis during the day when stomata are closed. These adaptations help plants minimize water loss and maximize carbon gain, especially in hot and dry environments.

How long does psychosis last?

It really depends. Some people have "psychotic episodes", short periods of mental illness, and other people can suffer from lifelong mental psychosis. Usually long tern sufferers of psychosis are treated with medication therapy, group therapy, or in extreme cases of psychosis where the patient is unable to operate or function normally in society with the help of medication, admittance into a mental hospital or other state funded facility is recommended for the lifelong treatment of the person suffering from the illness. There are differing degrees of psychosis. Mild degrees of psychosis are treatable, and the patient can resume normal daily life activities such as working a job, carrying on in relationships, and even getting married and having children. Hundreds and thousands of Americans can and do suffer from some degree of mental illness, and are able to operate perfectly fine in society. In some cases, mild to moderate degrees of psychosis are totally treatable and even curable.

What cat food do Himalayan cats eat?

Cats - regardless of the breed - are meat eaters. Domestic cats will eat just about any commercial cat food offered. Commercially produced cat foods are formulated to make the taste appealing, and give the cat a vitamin 'boost' that they wouldn't normally get from just meat alone.

Having said that - cats can be 'picky' eaters. It may be a case of 'trial and error' before you find a food your cat will enjoy.

When did world war Two Korean war Vietnam War and Desert Storm end?

WW2 ended in August 1945 (the actual Japanese signature onto the "Instrument of Surrender" was signed on 02 September 1945); The Korean War was ended by an Armistice on 27 July 1953 (Armistice=Truce). WW1 also ended by an Armistice on 11 November 1918. The Vietnam War ended when North Vietnamese Tanks parked them onto the South's capital (after crashing through their gates) on 30 April 1975; the North had defeated the South on that date. Operation Desert Storm commenced on (about) 15 January and ended on (about) 24 February of 1991. The whole campaign lasted LESS than two months. There were NO hostilities in 1990 (Operation Desert Shield); this was strictly a military build up of forces that were to enforce the "ultimatum"...the ultimatum was Desert Storm.

What does crankshaft sensor do?

It senses whether your crankshaft has packed up, and if so, warns you of such. Driving without a crankshaft is dangerous! It can lead to not going anywhere fast, and is often a sign of owning a Chrysler product.

The Crankshaft Sensor communicates to the computer what position the motor is in so it can fire the appropriate spark plugs and fuel injectors in a continuous cycle, or firing order.

Can a mouse trap kill a rat?

As a Former Zookeeper, I don't think a mouse in a trap would chew his leg off to escape. I used to work in an office that had sticky mouse traps. We would always find the mice bloody, damaged and alive =0(. The mouse would get stuck and struggle and as he pulled his head, leg or feet off from the sticky surface, the fur and skin would tear off and the mouse would bleed, but that was as far as the mouse got to self mutilation. Even when the Employees (viewed as Potential Predators to the mouse)approached, lifted or touched the stuck mouse, the mouse never attempted to bite his own limbs off. I do believe However, that after a set amount of time, starvation, desperation and insanity will kick in and the mouse may choose biting his limb off over remaining trapped (Cost Benefit analysis). Also, 1)circumstance plays a role- Is the mouse trapped with its baby mouse- does it have offspring waiting for it in the other room? Altruism- (self sacrifice for the welfare of relatives and those affecting the success of your genes being passed on) plays a huge role in the decision making of animals. 2)Intelligence is a key factor in animals decision making as well, and I do believe that animals with higher cognitive abilities such as ravens, dolphins, or even octopi, may opt for limb chewing (much sooner than the mouse)over being trapped. However, myself a professor of biology, trapped a mouse tonight. When I returned home, the trap was gone and I fully expected to find a mouse somewhere in the house where it had dragged the trap. Instead, I found the trap with a tiny paw, stuck inside. Contrary to the zookeepers answer, this mouse did chew off its paw to escape.
