The future was looking bright for the late-night comedy show After Midnight, as it had previously secured a renewal for another season. Unfortunately for fans, it's been revealed that Season 3 won't be moving forward after all.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, After Midnight is set to end after its current second season. CBS confirmed that the final episodes of the show ill air in June with no third season in the works. Its 12:35 a.m. time slot hasn't found a new replacement at this time, and it's still unclear if the network will hold onto that hour, or if it will go back to local stations' programming. The show was recently renewed for Season 3, but After Midnight will instead conclude with Season 2 so its host, Taylor Tomlinson, can turn her focus back to her stand-up comedy.

Remakes are a rarity in late-night television but Have I Got News For You managed to break the mold when it premiered on CNN last year. Now, the American version of the long-running British series is ready for another round.

CNN adapted the comedy panel series in 2024, tapping former Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood, Jr. to host alongside Late Night with Seth Meyers writer and The Amber Ruffin Show host Amber Ruffin and comedian Michael Ian Black.

"Saturday Night Live" is now in its 50th year of existence, which means the sketch comedy show will spend much of 2025 warmly celebrating its own broadcast legacy. Some of this is earned. Producer Lorne Michaels was in the right place at the right time to pull together an epochal collection of comedic talent in 1975, and it's astonishing to consider that the show has remained relevant through 10 U.S. presidencies and god knows how many shifts in the popular culture. Though many people still watch the show live, viewers who've other plans on Saturday night can wait until Sunday to read episode recaps at any number of websites (none better than Ethan Anderton's at /Film) and/or watch individual skits on YouTube. "SNL" isn't going anywhere — though, as a fan who's lived through its lowest lows (seasons 6 and 11 in particular), I feel like it's never been more mechanical than it is now.

Exclusive: Paul Wesley, an actor who played a vampire on The Vampire Diaries, is executive producing a series project about a vampire who wants to be an actor. The untitled comedy, which landed at Fox for development in a competitive situation, centers on a determined 25-year-old vampire who struggles with running the family business for his murderous and suffocating vampire parents while trying to chase his dream to become an actor.

It is written by Unstable co-creator Victor Fresco and will be directed by Liz Friedlander (The Rookie). The duo and Wesley executive produce with Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment and Tracy Katsky of KatCo. Fox Entertainment is the studio.

The team of the project are all interconnected via past collaborations. Fresco created the Netflix horror comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, which he executive produced with Kaplan and Katsky. Friedlander and Wesley have been friends since she directed episodes of The Vampire Diaries.

A common misconception among more casual "Family Guy" fans is that creator Seth MacFarlane is personally responsible for every single creative decision. Detective Hailey Upton is no longer helping the Intelligence Unit solve cases on Chicago Pd, but her portrayer, Tracy Spiridakos, is seemingly continuing the character's legacy in her next project. Spiridakos joined the cast of Chicago Pd near the end of its fourth season to replace Sophia Bush's Detective Erin Lindsay. “This was a time in my career when I was starting to [play moms],” she told Bowen’s co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson on his Dinner’s On Me podcast.

“It sounds so silly to say it out loud now, but I’ll be honest. In a movie, I would have a kid. And then there was this opportunity to audition where I would have three kids, one of them in high school,” added Greer. “And on a TV show… and you do have to think of these things in success, and obviously Modern Family was a huge success.

Episode 9 was dubbed Peanuts Night. It kicked off with a performance by the Peanuts characters and panelists Robin Thicke and Rita Ora singing “You Make My Dreams Come True.”

Afterwards, members of Group C — Strawberry Shortcake, Royal Knight and Sherlock Hound — did their best to stay in the game.

Ultimately, it was time for Royal Knight — One Tree Hill‘s Jana Kramer — to go. The other sent packing was Sherlock Hound, aka former MLB pitcher Bronson Arroyo.

Strawberry Shortcake will now compete against Buffalos, Goo and Wasp in the quarterfinals.

“The Masked Singer” usually airs new episodes every Wednesday night, but the schedule is shifting this week for Thanksgiving Day.

The 12th season of Fox’s whodunnit reality TV show will air a rerun on Wednesday, Nov. 27 (the “Who Are You Fest” hour that introduced Group C), and the new episode will instead air on Thursday, Nov. 28. That’s right — after you devour a yummy turkey dinner with your loved ones, gather around the TV and watch as Royal Knight, Sherlock Hound, and Strawberry Shortcake compete in the “Group C Finals: A Peanuts Thanksgiving” episode.

Season 2 will air early next year as part of CNN’s Saturday primetime lineup. Discovery-backed outlet to build a Saturday-night schedule that hinges on newsy analysis and comedic satire.

“For its inaugural season, ‘Have I Got News For You’ has been a welcome and lively extension of the CNN brand, and our viewers continue to show enthusiasm for comic relief on Saturday nights” said Amy Entelis, executive vice president of talent, CNN Originals and creative development, in a statement. The show is led by Roy Wood Jr. and features Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black.
