Short's first exposure to American audiences was as a member of the Second City troupe in the sketch show, "Sctv Network 90," which aired on NBC from 1981-83 and earned Short his first Emmy for writing. Most of Denis Villeneuve's films received critical acclaim. Although the director is currently best known for his work on the Dune adaptations, he has also directed several other successful films, including 2015's Sicario.
The action crime thriller Sicario is one of the best CIA films of all time. The movie marked Yellowstone creator's screenwriting debut, and the team up was very successful. Shortly after its debut on Netflix on Mar. 2, Sicario became a hit on the streaming platform, Tudum reveals.

The 85-year-old actor, Sir Ian McKellen, is urging young gay actors to come out and live openly. In a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on why hiding one’s identity is unnecessary and how being open can make a difference, both in acting and beyond.
McKellen, who revealed he was gay in 1988 at age 48, believes that coming out is a step worth taking. “I have never met anybody who came out who regretted it,” he said. “I feel sorry for any famous person who feels they can’t come out.”
He encourages actors to ignore cautious advice from agents and instead follow their instincts. “Being in the closet is silly — there’s no need for it. Don’t listen to your advisers, listen to your heart. Listen to your gay friends who know better. Come out. Get into the sunshine,” he said.

Jennifer Garner may have started her acting career in the entertainment industry years before, but her true recognition and fame came from her thriller series with J.J. Abrams, Alias. To say the least, it was this very series that not only made the actress a household name in Hollywood but also pretty much every fan’s fantasy.

But the way things go, even though Garner had one of the best times of her entire life while working on this masterpiece show, she also has a rather disappointing regret about it. While she wants the series to be remembered long, long after it stopped airing on the screens, that one regret remains to dig a hole in the actress’ heart.

Matt Damon On Affleck’s Wedding (Photo Credit – Facebook/Wikimedia)
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been close friends for years. They grew up together, won an Oscar together, and stayed by each other’s sides. So, when Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005, many expected Damon to be there. But he wasn’t. In fact, no one was.
The reason behind his absence was actually pretty simple. Moreover, it kind of made sense. Affleck and Garner pulled off one of the most private celebrity weddings ever. They went full stealth mode, keeping it so small that even Affleck’s lifelong bestie didn’t make the cut. No Hollywood guest list. No over-the-top venue. Just two people, a beach, and one trusted friend to officiate.
Back in 2005, Affleck and Garner shocked everyone by getting married in a super low-key ceremony. To those unversed, Affleck was engaged to Jennifer Lopez before marrying Garner.

Grant Gustin revealed his initial reaction to The Flash's "Duet" episode. Fans consider that Supergirl crossover a highlight of the Arrowverse, especially Kara Danvers and Barry Allen's musical number.
The Flash was the best show in The CW's Arrowverse. Fans went through a rollercoaster of emotions across nine seasons of The Flash, especially its crossover episodes. Season 3's "Duet" caught audiences by surprise, however; the plot involved Kara Danvers and Barry Allen trapped in a musical dreamworld. "Duet" was surreal because it broke from the show's grounded narrative, but audiences loved the novelty. Critics praised "Duet" for its lighthearted tone and endearing ensemble, but Grant Gustin had reservations about filming that episode; he told Michael Rosenbaum that "Duet" was an odd turn for the show.

Before James Gun rebooted all of DC’s media, the Arrowverse was the staple shared continuity of DC’s super heroes on tv. The series of connected tv shows, which began when Arrow premiered on the CW back in 2012, was arguably bigger and definitely better than any of Snyder’s Dceu films or projects.
For a long time, the shared TV shows allowed heroes such as Green Arrow and The Flash to interact and share a space on screen, with their yearly crossovers consistently growing in scale, you always had a guarantee of a big superhero team up. It wasn’t until the Elsewords crossover event that we got to see two of the big Justice League members interact however, and - if you thought you were freaking out - apparently so were the stars themselves.

Reassembling at a Megacon Orlando panel, Legends actor Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, and Matt Ryan were all asked what characters they'd like to play if James Gunn ever cast them in the Dcu timeline. In response, Lotz and Darvill selected Catwoman and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively, while Routh chose Superman, having previously played him in Superman Returns and reprised his role in Crisis on Infinite Earths alongside his Arrowverse performance as Ray Palmer/the Atom. Ryan, meanwhile, selected John Constantine, the role he played for nearly a decade across NBC's short-lived Constantine series, the Arrowverse, and multiple animated films, including the DC Animated Movie Universe's three-part Crisis adaptation.

The 1990s was a decade full of incredibly iconic movies, with some of the best of them leaving viewers crying by the time the credits rolled. This is not necessarily a bad thing, however, as many sad movies end up being great because of how they can move the viewer. Some of the best movies of all time are incredibly heartbreaking yet moving, showing the importance of crafting an impactful narrative.
Although they are sad, this does not take away from the viewing experience of watching these films but rather is a part of it. Such titles also stand up decades later, with timeless narratives that are still changing cinema through their legacy. This is incredibly important, as these films still compete with some of the all-time best tragedy movies, including sad movies that can be watched on Netflix.

Movie adaptations of popular books have been around since the beginning of cinema and are still some of the most popular films to date. From the Harry Potter book series to the new Dune film adaptations and even the record-breaking Wicked, movie adaptations of books deliver some of the best and most popular films. This is largely thanks to the already existing fandom that loves the book. But sometimes, some movies are adaptations of lesser-known books, or viewers don't even know the movie takes inspiration from a book, even if the story is a classic.

2024 was a crowded year for television that had its share of misfires, but among the droves of disposable content was some stellar horror programming – from “Evil” to “The Creep Tapes” – that celebrates the genre’s versatility.

As Taylor Sheridan continues to work tirelessly on television with Yellowstone, Landman, and countless others, it's worth reminding fans that he began his Hollywood career as an actor before focusing on screenwriting. Sheridan's first official writing credit came in 2015 via the outstanding drug cartel drama Sicario, directed by the supremely talented French Canadian filmmaker Denis Villeneuve in his sixth feature film.
Although they have gone separate ways since their collaboration, with Sheridan gravitating toward television and Villeneuve helming the monumental blockbuster Dune, Sicario marks a rare writer-director partnership in which both parties elevate the other to create a truly memorable piece of cinema that scored three Academy Award nominations and spawned an official sequel. In hoping Sheridan and Villeneuve join forces again, fans of both must watch Sicario to see how well the writer and director work together.

With the finale of Superman & Lois, fans are looking back at the Dctv shows on The CW that aired over the past dozen years. The most outlandish one, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, included Firestorm and from its first season foreshadowed the death of fan-favorite character, Martin Stein.
Legends of Tomorrow embraced comics' silly side, and over the course of that first season, the characters came into their own as heroes. When Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond left The Flash, producers cast Franz Drameh to play Jefferson Jackson. He made up the other half of...

Without Christmas movies and TV, the holiday season would feel lacking, not just for movie buffs, but for everyone who celebrates the unwritten custom of getting together and watching something Christmas-themed the night before completes other traditions. While some people have a ritual of revisiting their favorite Christmas film every year, others look forward to Christmas movies releasing as recently as 2024. From romcoms like Meet Me Next Christmas, to horror films like Terrifier 3, Christmas has become the setting for all genres of cinema.
A common fixture of the Christmas film is everyone's favorite bearded man who flies in with his reindeer every year. Without Santa Claus, it would not entirely feel like Christmas. Well, not entirely. While there have been slasher movies with Santa in them, and the occasional movies with moral messages being spread by Santa, many films just use the premise of Christmas to tell stories that...

Quick Links What Is Legally Blonde About? The Core Message in Legally Blonde What Roger Ebert and Other Critics Have to Say About Legally Blonde
There was so much attention around the movie Barbie in 2023 that its easy to forget it wasnt the first movie to take a feminist approach to a pink-loving, somewhat ditzy blonde bombshell. There have been others, and arguably one of the most notable is that of Legally Blonde. The 2001 movie might be light, fluffy fun. But like Barbie, it has a deeper message behind it.
It resonated with viewers and critics alike, including iconic movie critic Roger Ebert, who called the movie in his review impossible to dislike. Never watched it or want to watch it? Thats easy because Legally Blonde is now streaming for free on Tubi.

Jennifer Garner may have been left heartbroken after she decided to give her heart out to Ben Affleck quite early in her life which resulted in a marriage of ten years and three kids, but it seems like her current partner John Miller is all set to build her back up. For the record, this is the very guy she started dating before finalizing her divorce with her second husband Affleck.

As it turns out, Miller is willing to do everything he can for his reported fiance – especially the things that her latest ex-husband couldn’t do for her. According to insider scoops, this even includes him planning to perfectly spoil her as the previously on-and-off couple are seemingly set to go all out for a grand, dreamy wedding in Paris – unlike the sincere yet sober one Affleck gave her.

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for American Horror Stories "Clone!"The latest batch of episodes has finally arrives for Hulus 2024 Huluween event, with American Horror Stories Clone ending giving the spinoff one of its most disturbing conclusions yet. Serving as the direct spinoff of Ryan Murphys hit show American Horror Story, American Horror Stories tackles a brand-new bone-chilling tale in every episode rather than every season. Starring Victor Garber, among the most intriguing concepts in American Horror Stories season 4 is the episode Clone, which follows hospitalized tech giant Davids AI clone becoming acquainted with his lonely partner, John, while hes recovering from a stroke.
While John initially rejects the clone, he eventually comes to love the AI David, perhaps more than the real man. However, everything changes when John gets a call that the real David is awake and healthy. John declares that hes learned he can still be his...

American Horror Stories is back with a new batch of episodes, each covering a different story and starring different characters, and the second episode, "Clone", stars some well-known actors along with some new faces. Ryan Murphys American Horror Story has found great success since its premiere in 2011, and though some of its seasons havent succeeded with critics and viewers, Murphy decided to expand it in 2021 with a spin-off/companion series. Appropriately titled American Horror Stories, whats different about it is that each episode tells a different story, unlike AHS, in which every season is different.
However, to keep some connection to the main show, some episodes of American Horror Stories have direct links to past seasons of American Horror Story. The success of American Horror Stories has led to its renewal, and among the episodes in its fourth season is "Clone". In it, a tech billionaire who suffers a debilitating...

The second part of American Horror Stories season 3 is now available to stream on Hulu. It is packed with five chilling new episodes. But what’s up with this release format? Is there an episode 10 still ahead? Is this season of AHStories season 3 or considered season 4? Here’s everything we know!
No release schedules are more complicated than those of streaming shows. And there’s so much confusion surrounding this new season of AHS’ spin-off AHStories. For starters, is it season 3 or season 4? Technically, the new episodes are part of season 3. The first half of the third season premiered almost a year ago on Oct. 26, so that’s why fans were not sure.
The first part of season 3 only features four episodes, but really it should have been its own season to avoid confusion. Alas, the five new episodes are considered part of season 3, for a grand total of nine episode.

American Horror Stories returns with Henry Winkler, Michael Imperioli, Debby Ryan, Victor Garber and more for when its five-episode season releases for what’s being billed as a Hulaween event.
The series — a spinoff of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning anthology series American Horror Story — features a different horror story in each of its stand-alone episodes.
The minute-and-a-half look at the upcoming installment, premiering Oct. 15 as part of Hulu’s Halloween lineup, teases new takes on classic horror tropes such as “don’t look under the bed,” a scary figure appearing in the mirror and a woman appearing in an empty parking lot late at night.

Ryan Murphy first started noodling on a TV show about the Menendez brothers in the wake of the success of Netflix’s “Dahmer,” which he co-created alongside his longtime collaborator Ian Brennan.
“One of the things that you and I didn’t know, but soon found out, is that there are literally thousands and thousands and thousands of TikToks from young people, specifically young women, talking about the Lyle and Erik Menendez case,” Murphy noted onstage to Brennan at an NYC premiere screening September 12 of the latest installment of their Netflix true crime anthology, “Monster,” this time “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.”
“I was blown away,” by the social media response, Brennan confirmed, “because it seemed so current to them. I think one of the one of the things is we finally have a vernacular to think about and discuss sex abuse and mental health that did not exist at the time.
