An underrated legal thriller starring Mark Ruffalo is making waves on Peacock. Dark Waters is now available to stream on Peacock after being added to the streaming service at the start of the month.

Directed by Todd Haynes, Dark Waters stars Ruffalo as real-life corporate defense lawyer Rob Bilott, dramatizing his case against the chemical manufacturing corporation DuPont after they contaminated a town with unregulated chemicals. Mario Correa and Matthew Michael Carnahan wrote the screenplay for the 2019 legal thriller, based on the 2016 New York Times Magazine article "The Lawyer Who Became DuPont's Worst Nightmare" by Nathaniel Rich. Besides Ruffalo, Dark Waters features several recognizable actors, such as Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises), Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption), Victor Garber (Legends of Tomorrow), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), and Bill Pullman (Independence Day).

The 85-year-old actor, Sir Ian McKellen, is urging young gay actors to come out and live openly. In a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on why hiding one’s identity is unnecessary and how being open can make a difference, both in acting and beyond.

McKellen, who revealed he was gay in 1988 at age 48, believes that coming out is a step worth taking. “I have never met anybody who came out who regretted it,” he said. “I feel sorry for any famous person who feels they can’t come out.”

Reese Witherspoon has officially entrusted her breakout role as Elle Woods from the beloved Legally Blonde movies to a new generation. Amazon MGM Studios and Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine have cast rising star Lexi Minetree in the lead role of Prime Video’s Elle, a prequel series that will follow the iconic character during her high school years, long before she made her mark at Harvard Law School. The exciting news came directly from Witherspoon, who took to Instagram this morning to make the announcement. She captioned the post with:

“Allow me to introduce you to the new Elle Woods! After watching so many incredible auditions for the new Elle prequel series on @PrimeVideo, we finally found our Elle. And today, I got to break the news myself.”

In the video, Witherspoon is speaking to Minetree about the auditions before breaking the news to her and admiring her hard work.

Grant Gustin felt that, like speedster Barry Allen, The Flash‘s musical episode arrived on the scene a bit quickly.

The 17th episode of The Flash‘s third season, “Duet” aired March 21, 2017, and featured crossover appearances by Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan, Arrow‘s John Barrowman and Legends of Tomorrow‘s Victor Garber. The Flash‘s Jesse L. Martin and Carlos Valdes also sang in the episode, as did Glee grad Darren Criss, guesting as the villainous Music Meister.
