Though many character exits on TV have disappointed me, some are so unfair, mean-spirited, or poorly written that they bring out my righteous indignation. Because all shows end, every character will eventually leave the audience. Like many people, I become emotionally invested in my favorite TV characters, wanting them to thrive and be happy. When done right, endings feel earned and fit the established characterizations and storylines.

Unfortunately, writers sometimes rob great characters of happy endings, leaving them in terrible situations they don’t deserve. If a character’s unhappy ending is written to reflect the bitterness of reality, the drastic and unpopular choices are more forgivable because of their deeper purpose within the narrative. However, often, the betrayal of an unhappy ending is sometimes too much to bear, and I can’t help but feel angry.

During its run on The WB (and The CW) from 2000-2007, "Gilmore Girls" emerged as one of TV's most beloved teen drama shows, eventually finding a second life on Netflix. It was lauded for its rapid-fire banter laden with pop culture references, its quaint New England charm, and its quirky characters. All of this was held together by the unshakeable bond between Lorelai and Rory Gilmore — more like the best of friends than mother and daughter.

Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, "Gilmore Girls" has since become the ultimate cozy watch, especially during Pumpkin Spice Latte season. The series takes us through Ivy League ambitions, boyfriend troubles, and some of the greatest will-they-or-won't-they? romantic tension of all time, between the bubbly, perpetually-caffeinated Lorelai and grumpy diner owner Luke Danes.

But, "Oy with the poodles already!" If you're reading this list, you already know what "Gilmore Girls" is all about, so let's start ranking the seasons.

Despite coming out over 20 years ago, Gilmore Girls remains consistently popular, and it's no wonder why. Full of humor, charm, and intriguing characters, the series earns its status as a beloved cult classic. The show explores the lives of the Gilmore family, particularly the freakishly close mother and daughter Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel). Beginning when Rory is in high school, Gilmore Girls follows her as she grows up in the small, picturesque town of Stars Hallow. Though the Gilmores always have things going on, especially when Lorelai's overbearing parents, Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop), get involved, some of the best characters lie outside the titular family. The many side characters make the show the quirky story it is, and from Sean Gunn's Kirk to Melissa McCarthy's Sookie, the supporting cast members are integral to the show.

Emily Gilmore is the Gilmore girl who started it all in Gilmore Girls, and though Rory and Lorelai rarely took her seriously, Emily was a complex character and a force to be reckoned with. There are harsh realities about all of the women of the Gilmore family, and Emily often faced the harshest criticism because Lorelai and Rory frequently villainized her. While some aspects of her character deserve critique, she was never one-dimensional and cared about her family above all else.

Actor Scott Patterson suggests ideas for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life season 2, including Lorelai and Luke having kids, Jess running a gym, and Rory working as the editor of the Stars Hollow Gazette. Hunham is hated by his students, as well as his fellow teachers. And he’s also in hot water, after he failed one of the school’s largest donor’s son in his class. During the Christmas break, he is forced to supervise the “holdovers — -the students who for various reasons must stay on campus. He ends up sharing the holidays with one troubled student (Dominic Sessa) whose mother recently remarried; and the cafeteria administrator (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) grieving her only son’s death in the Vietnam War.

Patrick Wilson is no stranger to the horror genre, having starred in the likes of three Conjuring movies and three Insidious movies (one of which he directed), among other things – but I never would have predicted that his name would be attached to a stage musical adaptation of Joel Schumacher’s 1987 vampire classic The Lost Boys (watch it Here). An official YouTube channel dedicated to the classic sitcom The Munsters and the franchise it spawned was launched three years ago, and as the years have gone by a whole lot of clips from the 1964 – 1966 show have been added to that channel. But now Universal has decided to go ahead and share a couple full movies on there as well: The Munsters’ Revenge from 1981 and Here Come the Munsters from 1995.
