First up, the darkest – and most financially successful – chapter in The Conjuring Universe continues in The Nun II, which is now playing in theaters nationwide.

Valak returns in The Nun II from director Michael Chaves (Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), and you can read Meagan’s review right here.

Taissa Farmiga will be back as Sister Irene, with Bonnie Aarons again playing the demonic nun known as Valak. Storm Reid (“Euphoria”) will also star in the film.

Earlier this year, Saban Films picked up the North American distribution rights to the Norwegian thriller Good Boy. Now it has been announced that they’ll be giving the film a theatrical, digital, and VOD release on September 8th – and with that date swiftly approaching, a trailer has arrived online! Saban Films has picked up the North American rights to Scandinavian thriller Good Boy from Blue Finch Films.

Written and directed by Viljar Boe (Til Freddy), the film stars Gard Lokke (Troll), Katrine Lovise Opstad Fredriksen in her feature film debut and Amalie Willoch Njaastad (Cabin Crazy). Saban is targeting a third-quarter theatrical release.

Even in the most indulgent romance novels, it is usually understood that young, handsome, wealthy men are rarely single unless they have secrets. When they go back there, he remains light-hearted and friendly. The sex they have is quite vanilla. But in the morning, she meets his dog.

This is Frank (Nicolai Narvesen Lied). He’s not a dog in the conventional sense, but a man in a dog costume. Is this puppy play? The costume doesn’t really suggest that – nor do they interact like furries. In fact, says Christian, it isn’t sexual at all – and he tells her a tale of a close friend with a traumatic past who simply can’t cope with the stresses of being out in the world.
