However, that wasn’t enough, so T’Challa takes Spidey to the Soul Tree, Bishiya Ruhi in Wakanda. While there, Spider-Man is confronted by Bast and his god, Anansi. With their help, Miles is cured of his vampirism, but it comes with a price: Anansi is now along for the ride in Miles’ head to learn stories from his perspective.

A recent development saw Spider-Manbecome herald to an extradimensional god, but that has just made Miles Morales the target of a classic god-tier Marvel character. The Olympian Ares has been portrayed as a complicated character in Marvel Comics for decades—even serving as a member of the Mighty Avengers and Dark Avengers in the past. However, Ares’ latest appearance brings him back with an extremely evil new mission: kill Spider-Man.

Samuel Olayinka and Ying Gao will be introduced in Lck on Thursday, right after the Top Chef season premiere episode airs on Bravo. Even the best chef is bound to have bad days, so the web series serves as a chance for redemption for eliminated chefs. Once they pack their knives and go on the main show, they arrive in Lck for a lightning-fast head-to-head battle. If they win enough of those, eventually they'll be invited back to compete on the Bravo series.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law ended up being a surprisingly divisive Disney+ TV series, though there's no denying that the visual effects weren't quite where they needed to be.

Then, there was the fourth-wall-breaking finale which failed to deliver the tie-ins to the wider MCU fans expected. Perhaps the biggest surprise was just how upset some viewers were with the sight of She-Hulk twerking with Megan Thee Stallion in a post-credits scene.

However, this approach came at a high cost, making it the most expensive project per episode to date, which significantly reduces the likelihood of a second season. Additionally, Tatiana Maslany’s comments criticizing CEO Bob Iger during the months-long SAG-AFTRA strike, where he deemed the actors’ union’s wage demands “unrealistic,” further complicate the show’s future prospects.

However, special effects and Maslany’s performance were the least of the show’s concerns, at least according to fans. One scene in particular drew intense criticism and significantly impacted the show’s ratings: the office twerking scene featuring Maslany’s She-Hulk and Ginger Gonzaga’s Nikki Ramos.

New York, June 15 (Ians) The Sars-CoV-2 virus, which caused the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, first infected three scientists working at China’s infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology (Wiv), according to a new report that strengthens the theory of a lab-leak.

“Patients zero” included Ben Hu, Ping Yu and Yan Zhu — the scientists working on the controversial “gain-of-function” research on Sars-like viruses at the Wiv, according to an investigation published on the Substack newsletter Public and Racket.

It was previously noted that some Wiv scientists had developed Covid-19-like illnesses in November 2019, but their identities were not known.

“Ben Hu is essentially the next Shi Zhengli,” Alina Chan, a molecular biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, was quoted as saying. Shi is popularly known as “the bat woman of China,” and led the gain-of-function research at the Wiv.

London, May 31 (Ians) The theory that Covid-19 is the result of a lab-leak should not be discounted, a top Chinese scientist has said.

“You can always suspect anything. That’s science. Don’t rule out anything,” George Fu Gao, was quoted as saying in an interview for the BBC Radio 4 podcast, ‘Fever: The Hunt for Covid’s Origin’.

China has since the beginning dismissed any suggestion the disease may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory.

Gao, who directed China’s Center for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) when Covid first emerged in Wuhan, said a branch of the Chinese government had investigated the lab leak theory at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (Wiv).

The “lab was double-checked by the experts in the field”.

“I think their conclusion is that they are following all the protocols. They haven’t found (an) wrongdoing,” he said, in the first such acknowledgement that...

New York, March 27 (Ians) US researchers have developed a novel smart bandage with biosensors that can help heal chronic wounds like diabetic ulcers and burns.

Most of the time, when someone gets a cut, scrape, burn or other wound, the body takes care of itself and heals on its own.

But diabetes can interfere with the healing process and create wounds that will not go away and that could become infected and fester.

The smart bandage developed by researchers at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) may make treatment of these wounds easier, more effective and less expensive.

“There are many different types of chronic wounds, especially in diabetic ulcers and burns that last a long time and cause huge issues for the patient,” Wei Gao, Assistant Professor of medical engineering, at Caltech said.

“There is a demand for technology that can facilitate recovery,” Gao said.

Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law team weighed in on a pair of CGI-related criticisms of the highly anticipated Disney+ series.

“In terms of the CGI being critiqued, I think that has to do with our culture’s belief in its ownership of women’s bodies,” Coiro said at the show’s Television Critics Association’s press tour panel on Wednesday. “I think a lot of the critique comes from feeling like they’re able to tear apart the CGI woman. On the panel, series star Tatiana Maslany was joined by creator and director Jessica Gao and director Kat Coiro who spoke about what’s ahead.

“I think you guys know we are not allowed to tell you any of that,” Gao told Deadline with a laugh when asked if Matt Murdoch/Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) appearance in She-Hulk will set up the recently announced Daredevil: Born Again. “Marvel has security guards posted outside of each of our doors.”

A new premiere date and rollout for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” was announced Wednesday during the streamer’s presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Instead of debuting on its originally announced premiere date of Wednesday, August 17, “She-Hulk” will premiere Thursday, August 18. The nine-episode comedy series will then roll out weekly on Thursdays, marking a change in strategy.

The move marks Disney+’s continued expansion of its programming schedule. While certain blockbuster series such as “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” “Ms. Marvel” and “The Book of Boba Fett” debuted new episodes on Wednesdays, Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” delivered new chapters on Fridays, a day Netflix has long dominated with its own new binge releases. “She-Hulk” will be the first Marvel series to drop new episodes on Thursdays.
