The success of Twisters hinges on its $200 million budget and whether it can make at least $400 million at the box office. The sequel's box office must exceed originals' earnings of $495.7 million to be profitable, with $500-$600 million needed. Twisters has made $11.5 million internationally, showing promising early momentum for a potential box office hit.
The success of Twisters rests on its budget and box office performance, and how they compare will determine if the film is a hit. The 2024 action blockbuster starring Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones was announced with the need to live up to lofty expectations. Twisters was announced as a sequel to the original 1996 movie that Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton headlined. Beth "The Banker" Boland has a nice ring to it.
If there's one thing Beth will do no matter what, it's excel under pressure. Good Girls Season 4 Episode 5 found her bouncing all over town collecting money and not even breaking a sweat. She was even enjoying throwing her weight around and making people bend to her will.
But while she's playing the part of the dutiful little soldier on one side, she's still working behind the scenes to cripple Rio's entire organization.
Does Rio actually trust Beth?
That was the central question permeating throughout the hour, as he trusted her enough to literally be his stand-in and the face of the organization for a day. But he also knows that, at the very least, she's spoken with the authorities.
And he knows that they've gone so far as to put a tracker on his car.
Beth: He knows.
Phoebe: He doesn't.
