DANIEL MANIA! COMMENT
All I have to say is that the movie had some good fight seems but the ending sucked, choreography was horrible, the white guy was cool, and the music was awesome but this is not something I could set through again!! All in all this was a boring piece of film but the good thing is that it was not as bad as 9 Deaths of the Ninja!!!

Obviously made to cash in on Bruce Lee mania, this film is about what you would expect - lousy camera work, weak plot, questionable acting and decent fighting. The alliances between the different characters are difficult to figure out - it seems like everyone fights against and beside each other at least once. But not many who watch this will be looking for a good story. The fighting is the main attraction, and from that point of view this movie is mildly entertaining.
What is obvious. Is that Bruce Lee had set a president in martial arts film. In the advent of his passing, he had returned to China to finish doing so without Hollywood barriers.
What was left; was a void in martial arts, and literally the question of who would be Bruce Lee's successor...
As without a doubt - that no one could fulfil the skillful shoes of the multi talented Bruce Lee, for the fans. A nee growth and progress was ensued by the martial arts entertainment world!
Ending up with Bruce Li, Jet Lee and Jackie Chan to name a few. Please do enjoy - Fists Of Bruce Lee!
Most 1970s martial arts movies from Hong Kong, whether they are set in modern times or in the past, or whether they try to cash in on Bruce Lee or not, I've found to be pretty bad and interchangeable. "The Fists of Bruce Lee" manages to fit both of those negative attributes. Well, maybe not, because this one manages to stand out a little from the pack by being significantly worse than usual. I knew I was in trouble when the first ten minutes or so made absolutely no sense. The movie gets a little more coherent after that dubious beginning, but that doesn't mean it's any easier to sit through. There are a few unintended laughs, like how the movie freely plagiarizes American top 40 songs on its soundtrack. But for the most part, the movie is really boring; even the fight sequences are pretty dull. Even those who have more of a tolerance for 70s Hong Kong kung fu movies will probably find this tough to sit through.
Man, the Fist of Bruce Lee literally knocks you into submission.
This was directed by Bruce Li which can be seen from the onset. The camera work is really not good and is accompanied by less than average fighting. Who is the blonde guy who keeps appearing in Li's films? He's not very good at martial arts and or even basic fighting for that matter! His nunchuks look like $10 special from KB Toys. Can you tell I really don't like this guy? The story isn't all that clear and names are dropped while characters appear so often you can't even tell if someone from the film crew accidentally got in the shot. Then, you have scenes where guys appear out of nowhere, no conversation occurs, and fighting breaks out for no reason. Worst, some of them don't even include Bruce fighting!! What the heck was with that double/triple crossing and who the hell are these guys? Oh, you can also see where Jackie Chan got inspiration for the playground fight in Police Story 2. Jackie saw this film and said, "The Bruce Li playground fighting scenes really suck!"
Funny stuff: Bruce electrocuting a nosy thug, deadly doll, secret codes, funniest 70s dub music in the club scene, cutie gal who doesn't fall for "experts", fake retractable knife, Bruce sparring to "Pick up the Pieces"
For a good Bruce Li flick , look elsewhere. Still WAY better than Future War.
