President Joe Biden is concluding his time in office by naming his last round of Presidential Medal of Freedom honorees, and they include two iconic Hollywood names. Ricochet certainly was a violent movie with more than a few disturbing scenes. Indeed, some of the more graphic moments had to be cut down during editing. The showcase introduced all of the new mechanics players will get to experience. Movement is one of the bigger ones, split into two types: Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement.

Omnimovement changes how players move. It introduces fluid and versatile combat manoeuvres like sliding, diving, and a new supine prone, all with 360-degree movement. You can master these manoeuvres through the Training Course in the Multiplayer Beta.

XDefiant Is Infested with Hackers

Since the launch of XDefiant, the game has been going through some serious issues, like server issues and many more. However, the most problematic situation for the game is the atrocity of innumerable hackers.

Recently, a fan shared a gameplay clip where he had to face a disgusting cheater, using speed and auto-aim hacks. This hacker was going all the way around, killing players without any hassle. Despite reporting the player, the hacker wasn’t banned.

Decades after the film's release, Fred Dekker, who wrote the first draft of Ricochet, revealed in an interview that he had written the script not only as a vehicle for Clint Eastwood, but specifically as an entry in Eastwood's Dirty Harry franchise, in which he plays the only police officer in San Francisco who understands that crime has one solution: violence.

Denzel Washington's move into action films began with Virtuosity, which featured him chasing down an unstoppable killer played by Russell Crowe. Virtuosity help fill the void left by the Terminator franchise, with Sid's ability to regenerate and AI themes borrowing from Cameron's sci-fi saga. The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco made her big-screen debut in Virtuosity as Karin, the daughter of Kelly Lynch's character.

A 1995 cyberpunk action movie fronted by Denzel Washington also marked Kaley Cuoco's big-screen debut. While some movie stars start their careers with action movies before moving into other genres, Denzel took the opposite route. Denzel Washington's movie CV is filled with stirring dramas and taut thrillers like Training Day, but in the early stages of his career, he largely avoided traditional action roles. Crimson Tide is a psychological thriller at its core, and while 1991's Ricochet is a secret Die Hard spinoff, it too largely eschews action.

Ricochet is a dark thriller connected to Die Hard via the character of Gail Wallens (Mary Ellen Trainor). Denzel Washington's character faces torment and mental anguish, creating a bleak and harrowing journey. A lot of really fun movies from the eighties and nineties are tough to get decent copies of. While some of the stories have happy endings, other films seem all but doomed to languish until a niche label like Arrow Video, Kino Lorber, or Unearthed Films gives them the TLC they deserve. So, what’s the title we’re worried is Gone Forever here at JoBlo? A cool little thriller (which I previously wrote up for Best Movie You Never Saw) from 1991 called Ricochet has a pretty impressive pedigree. The movie stars Denzel Washington, John Lithgow, Ice-t, Kevin Pollack and The Bionic Woman herself, Lindsay Wagner, while Highlander’s Russell Mulcahy directs it, is produced by Joel Silver, and is written by Die Hard’s Steven E De Souza. In fact, Ricochet takes place in the same universe as Die Hard, with Mary Ellen Trainor reprising her role as snoopy TV reporter Gale Wallens.

Hackers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are having fun flying helicopters to outer space, getting grenade launcher kills from sniping range, and doing what not to ruin the game’s experience. That doesn’t mean the CoD team is just sitting back, they are observing too. Since the introduction of the game’s anti-cheat system, Ricochet, they have barred a large number of accounts from the game using hacker mods.

Last year, they instituted a concept called “splat.” As the name suggests, it can flatten a player on the ground, giving it a fine coat of red, something that Splatoon players will find amusing. What the system does is cut a player’s parachute upon detecting them using a hacked version of the game. What follows isn’t that hard to imagine.

Months ago, we here at JoBlo started writing about an issue near and dear to the hearts of film fanatics everywhere – the resurgence of physical media. This 1992 action film was an early attempt to turn Denzel Washington into an action star. Despite stylish direction by Russell Mulcahy and an unforgettable turn by John Lithgow as the movie’s villain, it was only a modest success.

Denzel Washington’s 2010 action thriller The Book Of Eli is heading to the small screen, with John Boyega take the lead as a younger Denzel.

Much like Liam Neeson, Denzel Washington has become something of an action hero in the latter stages of his career. While he has previously appeared in films like Ricochet and Crimson Tide, it wasn’t until he played John Creasy in Tony Scott’s brutal 2004 revenge film Man On Fire that we really got to see him off some bad guys in a variety of inventive ways.

Since then of course, he has become synonymous with vigilante justice, dishing out karmic vengeance in three Equalizer films to date. But in 2010, he played a different kind of action hero in The Book Of Eli, a post apocalyptic thriller in which he plays a drifter intent on delivering a sacred book to safety in the West Coast of the United States.

One of the biggest joys in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is unleashing the wacky power of a new weapon on hapless Goons and bots. Luckily for new players, Ratchet and his co-star Rivet can find weapons with incredible reality-bending effects that defy the imagination. With these weapons in hand, players can effectively wipe the floor with any enemies they encounter on their dimension-hopping adventures.

Every weapon in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart can be fun to use, and they all have unique effects that make them worth testing at least once. However, as players progress through the story, they’ll need to level up Rift Apart’s weapons so they’re still effective against any enemies they encounter. Despite an abundance of upgrade resources, players will still need to prioritize upgrades for the best weapons in the game.
