Back in 1993, director Mahesh Kothare unleashed a killer doll on Marathi audiences and the result was a massive box office hit. Zapatlela was the story of a doll which had become the vessel for the soul of Tatya Vinchu (sounds familiar), and which ends up making its owners life a living hell.I haven't seen Zapatlela, though it is available in full on YouTube for free without subtitles, but it appears to play like a pretty standard Indian musical/comedy/romance/horror film. The sequel cranks up the crazy and adds director Kothare's son into the mix in the male romantic lead.
