Kardesim Benim

Kardesim Benim is a 1983 Turkish drama film, directed by Nesli Çölgeçen, based on the novel by Nuri Sezer. It stars Özcan Özgür and Nazan Ayas as Can Öz and Selma, an ex-actor who has lost his reputation and is suffering from depression, and a bar girl he falls in love with.

The film is a beautiful with its realism, with a brilliant script, direction, and performance. The dialogue is natural and authentic. The acting demonstrays powerful portrayals of their complex and conflicted characters.

In fact, when the site I downloaded at the time wrote the movie uncensored, I doubted that it was a porn movie from the 80s. But when it was over, I was emotional. The screenplay of the film, which has a wonderful narration, belongs to Nuri Sezer and Nesli Çölgeçen. It was directed by Nesli Çölgeçen. The film tells the story of an actor who has spent thirty years in the cinema industry to become an actor, but has come down to being an extra. Ozcan Ozgur plays the lead role. I think that the actor who played the most painful leading role was not given much value despite this performance while he was alive.
