Kim Min-ja: [after Han-mo tells her to keep her child] I said, no.
Seong Han-mo: Then what are you going to do? You have to give birth to it.

[Min-ja tries to help Nak-an stand on his feet. But his legs don't work and he abruptly sits back down]

[She tries to make him stand again]

[She lets go of his legs and he collapses again]
Kim Min-ja: What is wrong with you?
[Nak-an falls down again and again and again, as though his legs have completely given in. Han-mo tries making him stand]
Kim Min-ja: Be careful.
[Nak-an falls back down once more. Min-ja realizes that it's hopeless and starts crying]
Kim Min-ja: What happened?
[She holds her son tightly]
Kim Min-ja: What did they do to you? Where did they do this to you?
[as she cries this, she grabs Han-mo's trouser leg and shakes it]
Kim Min-ja: What's wrong with our Nak-an?
[Han-mo tries again and again and again to make Nak-an stand and each time the boy collapses]
Kim Min-ja: What happened to our son? What happened to our son? What happened to our son?
[Han-mo races to the front of the shop in rage]
Kim Min-ja: Our son...
[Han-mo crashes through the window of the barber shop, sobbing. He stands out in the street]
Seong Han-mo: You sons of bitches! How dare you do this to my son? How could you bastards do this? You bastards!
[Still crying, he gets out his scissors and begins to shear off large chunks of his own hair]
Seong Han-mo: Do you know who I am? I'm the President's barber. I'm the President's barber. I won't let you get away with this, you bastards.

President: Mr. Seong, how many kids do you have?
Seong Han-mo: Well, Mr. President, I have one son. He's ten years old.
President: Hmm... So he was born when the country was in turmoil.
Seong Han-mo: Yes, Mr. President. Actually, it was because of Plus Five...
President: Plus Five?
