Over the last four years, Gracie Abrams has skyrocketed to the top of every sad girl summer playlist. Her EP This Is What It Feels Like and last year’s debut album Good Riddance helped put her on the map while laying the groundwork for a fruitful collaborative relationship with Aaron Dessner. After a summer spent opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and notching a Best New Artist Grammy nomination on her belt, Abrams’ songwriting is more evocative and grown up than ever, as heard on sophomore album The Secret of Us.

Gracie Abrams has released her new album The Secret of Us, which includes a Taylor Swift collaboration called “us.”

The new duet comes as the fifth track on the new album, and is the first official collaboration between Abrams and Swift. Previously, Abrams opened several dates on the first North American run of Swift’s historic “Eras Tour,” an experience she says informed how she approached writing The Secret of Us.

The track “us.” itself is a retrospective break up song. At times, Abrams and Swift trade lines back and forth, and at other points come together in harmony. Lyrically, it describes a relationship that ultimately becomes “incomparable,” asking if the now ex-partner will miss it. Stream the song below.

This Eras Tour sisterhood is on another level. On Monday, Gracie Abrams announced the track list for her June 21 album, The Secret of Us, including a song titled “Us” featuring Taylor Swift.

“Screaming so loud………..” Abrams captioned the post, which included the 13-song track list.

Gracie Abrams‘ new album, The Secret of Us, will include a collaboration with Taylor Swift.

Ahead of the album’s June 21st release, Abrams has unveiled 13-song tracklist. Swift is featured on track five, which is simply called “us.”

Abrams opened several dates on the 2023 North American leg of Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” and will do so again when Swift plays shows in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver later this year (get tickets here).

During one of the Cincinnati dates of “The Eras Tour,” Abrams joined Swift on stage to perform “I Miss You, I’m Sorry.” She recounted the experience during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, saying: “My set was canceled for safety reasons. Then Taylor texted me being like, ‘Hey, come out with me and do ‘I Miss You, I’m Sorry?” We ran it one time in her room and then did it there.
