Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are returning to TV!
The Married at First Sight couple is starring in their own Lifetime spin-off titled Married at First Sight: Jamie & Doug Plus One.
"In our new spinoff, the joys -- and struggles -- as first-time parents will be out there for all the world to see. First of all, everyone knows giving birth is no joke, but who the heck knew the recovery would be excruciating for days?! And I’m not even talkin' C-section," Otis tells Et exclusively. "I could barely walk, let alone go to the bathroom! And breastfeeding, that’s another one that isn’t talked about (and I’m guilty as charged being a labor and delivery nurse!)."
"But let me tell ya, there is Nothing more amazing than looking down to a sweet face that resembles you and your hubby -- and no greater feeling than knowing you created this precious being. All of the...

“Big Mouth” creators Nick Kroll (“Kroll Show,” “The League”) and Andrew Goldberg (“Family Guy”) have known each other since the first grade, and became best friends in middle school — right when the hormone monster began its attack.
Well, at least his attack on Goldberg. Kroll was a late bloomer — and it was that awkward puberty that inspired Kroll, Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett to come up with “Big Mouth.” The animated series stars Kroll as Nick and John Mulaney as Andrew, and centers on their friendship as puberty — personified on the show as the hormone monster — puts it through the test.
Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein also star on the show, which IndieWire TV critic Ben Travers touted as a show that honestly captures the horrors of adolescence: “The show is unafraid to tell the embarrassing truths of pubescence, but knows...

Another bit of casting news has come in for Season 2 of "American Horror Story", and no, it's not Blake Shelton, Adam Levine's buddy from "The Voice", but rather newcomer Blake Sheldon, who has been cast in the third episode roles of both Devon and Cooper.

Melanie Griffith is in final negotiations for a multi-episode arc on Raising Hope. She'd play Sabrina's mother, according to E!. Griffith hasn't had particularly good luck in the TV department: Her Lifetime pilot didn't get picked up last year, 2007's Viva Laughlin was canceled almost immediately, and 2005's Twins barely made it through a season. But have no fear, the low-rated but so darn charming Raising Hope is on the case.

Looks like there's no life left in the Lifetime pilot "American Housewife."
Deadline is reporting that the cable network passed on the show which featured Melanie Griffith as a housewife to an up-and-coming politician played by Jeffrey Nordling. In addition to starring in the show, Griffith also executive produced it with her husband Antonio Banderas.
Griffith hasn't had much luck on the small screen. Her 2007 show "Viva Laughlin" was sacked after just two episodes. In 2006, her WB show "Twins" fared only slightly better. It made it through 18 episodes but went away after that.

A little over two years ago, AfterElton.com brought readers a list of the 37 Hottest Guys in Theater, and since then, the New York Stage has only become increasingly sexified. The lines between Broadway and Hollywood continue to blur, and as young men come to recognition in NYC, they're often quickly whisked away to Tinseltown to showcase not only their amazing talent, but often they're breathtaking good looks.
While it's tempting to include every Hollywood hottie who graces the stage on this list (a certain Lee Pace and Luke Macfarlane spring to mind), the point here is to honor the men who are mostly known for rockin' the live stages here in New York.
And so, without further ado, we present, in alphabetical order, the list (39!) of this year's hottest guys in theater!

Separated at birth? Long-lost twins? Vague coincidence? It’s all possible when actors look so alike they could be siblings.
With “The Roommate” hitting theaters co-starring the eerily similar-looking starlets Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly, we figured it was the perfect time to match up our favorite Hollywood doubles as they compete for roles, attention, and DNA. It’s like looking into a mirror!
If you think your eyes are starting to play tricks on you, think of this like that Olsen Twins movie “It Takes Two,” but without Steve Guttenberg.
Carey Mulligan & Michelle Williams
It’s all about the gorgeous swanlike necks. Carey and Michelle could not be more different as actors, the former having an old school, boisterous lightness while the latter, in both real life and on film, is very introspective, reserved, even ethereal. We can really do a cross-reference this year when Mulligan is seen onscreen...

Last year in our annual overview of the Year in Television, Malinda Lo wrote, “Though there is still plenty of room for improvement — particularly on broadcast TV — the low points of 2007 do not contradict the fact that lesbian/bi representation on TV this past year has increased and improved significantly.”
Clearly, a lot can change in a year.
Though 2008 comes to a close with word of possible new queer female characters on the horizon in the coming year, the prospects for lesbians and bisexual women on television over the last twelve months have been somewhat grim.
This has been particularly true for lesbians, whose numbers on scripted network television have now dwindled to zero.

Kohan, Mutchnick are buddies at CBS
Call it David & Max -- Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are teaming with CBS for their next comedy project, which is loosely based on their friendship.
The network has given a put pilot commitment to the untitled multicamera show from the Emmy-winning duo, to be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Kohan and Mutchnick's studio-based KoMut Entertainment.
Kohan, who is straight, and Mutchnick, who is gay, have been friends since their teen years at Beverly Hills High School. Like "Will & Grace," their project for CBS is a buddy comedy about a quartet of characters -- a gay writer and a straight writer, who are best friends, and their hot young assistants.

WB clears Friday for new shows
WB Network will bench most of its Friday comedy lineup late next month to make room for a new comedy, Modern Men, and a new reality show, Survival of the Richest. Men is set to debut March 17 in the 9:30 p.m. slot behind Reba, displacing the struggling rookie Twins. As of March 31, Survival will run in the 8 p.m. slot that is now home to What I Like About You and Living With Fran. Men, from Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, revolves around three guys who have been friends since childhood who seek help in the romantic department from a "life coach" played by Jane Seymour. Survival, from RDF Media, is a six-episode competition series that pairs seven wealthy people with seven working-class folks with heavy debts. Each week, one of the two-person teams will be eliminated until one is left to claim a cash prize.

WB bumps episode orders for drama, comedy series
WB Network has picked up additional episodes from two freshman series. The one-hour Related has received an order for six segments, bringing its season total to 19, while the comedy Twins, which stars Sara Gilbert, Molly Stanton and Melanie Griffith has been given a five-episode pickup for a total of 18. The reduced back-orders for Related and Twins are said to be partially related to the ongoing process of cost-cutting throughout the divisions of Warner Bros. Freshman series normally get a nine-episode back-order for a full-season 22 episodes, a procedure WB followed with its best-performing new show, hot drama Supernatural.

WB's 'Fran,' 'Blue Collar' put on hold
WB Network has benched the comedies Living With Fran and Blue Collar TV in an effort to rejuvenate its Friday and Sunday lineups, respectively. As of Friday, WB will shift 8:30 p.m. newcomer Twins to the 9:30 p.m. slot behind Reba, WB's highest-rated show on the night. The 8-9 p.m. hour will feature back-to-back episodes of What I Like About You. Fran, starring Fran Drescher as a woman who lives with her adult son and young boyfriend, has been failing to hold on to much of Reba's coattails in the 9:30 p.m. berth this season.
