He also releases pigeons from a cage, echoing a memorable moment from Shriya Saran’s character in the original film. What is Section 84? As per a digital repository of all Central and State Acts ‘Section 84’ deals with ‘Act of a person of unsound mind’, and states that ‘Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of unsoundness of mind, is incapable of knowing the nature of the act, or that he is doing what is either wrong or contrary to law.’
In the recent past, Amitabh Bachchan was seen in quite a few films in roles related to law. In Runway 34, Chehre, Badla, but it is Pink that immediately comes to mind for the topic that the film tackled and the way it was presented. One wonders, in Section 84, which side of law would Amitabh Bachchan’s character stand. Whichever, it would be, but he stands tall.
Director Ribhu Dasgupta expresses, “I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again.

One of Stephen King's greatest villains goes by many names, including Walter o'Dimm, Russell Faraday, and even, simply, The Man in Black. Yet the seemingly immortal evil entity who appears and reappears several times across King's extensive bibliography is most often known by one name: Randall Flagg.
To date, the shadowy figure has appeared in at least nine of King's novel, plus three on-screen adaptations. Most recently, "The Northman" actor Alexander Skarsgard embodied the denim-clad drifter in the 2020 Paramount+ limited series adaptation of "The Stand." This take on King's doorstep of a classic novel wasn't particularly well-received, but it notably featured a finale...

It was another competitive Billboard 200 albums chart with three new collections debuting in the top five for the tracking week ending October 21, led by Young Thug‘s “Punk” at number-one. Meanwhile, one classic album surged back into the top tier more than 50 years after its original release. More on this week’s top albums here at Billboard.com.
Young Thug came out on top by achieving 90,000 equivalent album units, which includes 77,000 units from streaming, 12,000 units from album sales, and 1,000 units from individual track sales. This is the third chart-topper for the rapper, following his debut studio album “So Much Fun,” which launched in 2019 with 131,000 units, and the collaborative compilation album “Slime Language 2,” which took off earlier this year with 113,000 units. So this is a slight step down from those debuts.

The 4K restoration (released this month by Cohen Media and featured at the New York Film Festival) of Joan Micklin Silver’s 1975 “Hester Street” is getting deserved credit as a rare female-directed American film from its era. The black and white feature, set in the mostly Jewish immigrant community in New York’s Lower East side in the 1890s, overcame tough odds on multiple fronts to become a significant financial success.
The film grossed $5 million by the end of its run, the equivalent of over $22 million today. All this on a budget of $375,000 (about $1.7 million now). That was a significant success, even if at the time it wasn’t supplemented by home video, and as a black and white film it had limited interest for broadcast television.
Micklin Silver’s film is getting renewed credit for its quality, as well as for being the debut film that caused her to break out as a director.

Ever since the first look of Amitabh Bachchan was released from the film “Chehre” directed by Rumy Jafry the audience has been eagerly awaiting more. The anticipation for the film went even higher when the teaser and the trailer of the film was shared a few months back, for the mystery thriller that also stars Emraan Hashmi.
The makers of the mystery thriller film that stars Emraan Hashmi along with Big B, have resumed the final leg of the movie. The legendary Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is back in action to shoot for the video of the title track in Mumbai. Actor Emraan Hashmi, whose film Mumbai Saga is currently running at the box office, has a slew of films coming out. The actor has three very different films in his kitty at the moment. While he is committed to Chehre and Ezra, the actor is yet to confirm playing the villain in Tiger 3. He says he seems to have finally got rid of the "Serial Kisser" tag.
"I haven't done those films for a bit. People don't address me that way anymore. I have never really thought of how people think of me. It's as per the film, I have never thought of how people perceive me," informed Emraan.

Cinema halls have received the green signal to operate with 100 per cent occupancy. It is positive news for the theatre owners, but not so for the box office just yet.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday allowed theatres to be operate with full capacity from February 1, except in containment zones, while adhering to health safety protocols. However, despite the call, the film trade could be months away from good business. Without big releases and a psychological block over Covid still looming in the minds of many, the audience is not interested in returning to theatres right away, irrespective of whether occupancy rules allow 50 or 100 per cent.
"It was long awaited. After the central government, we await go ahead by the state government. But it is a big breather for the exhibition industry. Now, we hope that the state governments are also proactive in giving us the permission," trade expert Girish Johar said.
