As subscribers know, Shudder is gearing up for Halfway to Halloween beginning in April. But there is also another milestone they are more than happy to celebrate, and that’s the horror streaming platform’s 10-year anniversary.

The “terrifyingly ambitious programming” will include more Shudder original films, fun events for their fans, special merchandise, and much more. There will even be a Shudder 10 Screening Series, which will feature a curated collection of Shudder films.

Sam Zimmerman, Shudder’s Head of Programming said this is their chance to thank horror fans, especially subscribers who have, in some cases, been along on the ride for the full ten years. “This year, we celebrate where Shudder’s been and give our members a taste of the horrors to come.”

Jeopardy! has been firing from all cylinders over the last few months.

The iconic game show started the year in a rough position due to the WGA strike, which prevented new material from being written.

As a result, the year got underway with countless returning players because producers felt it was unfair to have new competitors working with recycled questions.

It made sense, but it had a detrimental effect on the show, meaning there were only returning contestants until April.

Just three months later, the series is taking its planned summer hiatus, which means it will be off the air for about six weeks.

The summer finale is currently slated to air on Friday, July 26, but fresh episodes will be ready to air in September, so it’s not all bad news.

The fallout continues for celebrity chef Justin Sutherland, who was arrested June 28 in Minnesota for threatening to kill his girlfriend.

A nonprofit in St. Paul said Friday that it’s canceling its partnership with Sutherland to develop a new concept for Golden Thyme Coffee and Café, which the nonprofit’s trust bought when the cafe’s owners retired.

Earlier, a partnership between Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and Sutherland was ended. The two collaborated since 2018 on an annual barbecue festival called “Smoke Out.”

Sutherland’s credits include judging on the TV shows “Top Chef” and “Chopped,” and competing on “Iron Chef America,” “Tournament of Champions,” and hosting the series “Fast Foodies” and “Taste the Culture with Justin Sutherland.”

Sutherland was arrested and charged with one felony count of threats of violence with reckless disregard, according to court documents. Police responded to a 911 call that suggested a man was holding a woman at gunpoint.

As the title of a film, Before the World Set on Fire is both intriguing and confusing. Jaclyn Bethany’s new film pretty much sets off along those lines and chooses to leave the audience without a proper explanation. However, there’s enough for you to come up with one yourself, if you have closely followed the film. Although that might seem to be quite a struggle given at least half of the film is pretty much a slog. That’s not at all a good thing for a film with a mere seventy minutes runtime. Exclusive: Emerging Irish comedian Kyla Cobbler has signed with UK agency Host Talent Group.

The comedian is set to embark on a year-long live-show tour in Ireland, Europe, Australia, Canada and the U.S., and is working on television project, according to Host.

Born in Cork, Ireland, she now lives in Barcelona, where a bustling stand-up comedy scene has emerged. Cobbler is known for her social media videos, including her ‘Irish wink’ clip that has amassed millions of views on Instagram.

London-based Host represents the likes of Ferne McCann, Paul Burrell, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Sherrie Hewson, and is active on the theater front with a suite of emerging stage and screen talent.

The BBC has made the decision to pause its long-running series “Top Gear” “for the foreseeable future,” according to multiple media reports. This decision comes in the wake of a high-speed accident that involved host Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff last December.

“We’ve agreed with BBC Content that given the exceptional circumstances, we will be resting production of the Top Gear U.K. show for the foreseeable future,” a statement posted to the official “Top Gear” site reads. “We’ll continue to support the programme’s core production team and will be leaning on their expertise in a broader production capacity until such time as the U.K. show can restart.”

If you, like most of us, spent the pandemic years locked inside your house, chances are that you devoted a lot of your time to watching movies and TV shows. And, if you're a horror buff, it's quite likely that one of your favorite watches during these troubled times was a small, inventive movie called Host. Directed by Rob Savage, who would go on to work on this year's The Boogeyman, the Shudder original charmed and scared audiences with its use of webcams, delivering what is by far the best computer screen movie ever made. Now, part of the team behind this creative enterprise has gotten back together for a Netflix short titled Flashback.

Director Rob Savage has given a recent update regarding the movie adaptation of Stephen King's The Langoliers.

Savage revealed that the rights to The Langoliers needed sorting out in an interview with ComicBook. The director was hopeful of a positive resolution: "There's a bit of naughtiness when it comes to the rights, but I think hopefully we'll be able to sort it out," he said. The filmmaker also revealed they had a great idea for adapting Stephen King's story. "We've got such a great idea for developing that one out from the short story. Of all the ones in King's work that have been adapted, I don't think it's ever been done justice to," he stated. Savage was referencing ABC's adaptation of The Langoliers, a miniseries that aired in 1995 and was met with a lukewarm reception from critics and audiences.

While chatting with The Daily Beast, Kinon made efforts to send Barrymore a message after it was announced last week that the talk show would be returning amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which has since garnered backlash.

Season 16 of “Drag Race” will debut 15 years after the very first episode of premiered in 2009 on Logo. The show moved to MTV for Season 15. The first “All Stars” edition premiered in 2012, with it’s most recent edition — Season 8 — airing this summer on Paramount+.

All four shows are produced by World of Wonder productions and slated to premiere in 2024.
