Ellen's story may drag a bit, but it is not uninteresting

Ellen: Why do you care about animals? Activist: Because they can't do it themselves. -This was one of Ellen's few open expressions of interest in the ideology of the group of activists she stumbled upon. She was a quiet listener, but she wasn't as indifferent as she seemed. The behavior of none of the characters felt unnatural, which I also appreciated. Their actions were somewhat impulsive, like when they released hens into the woods or laboratory rats directly onto the main road, and they occasionally strayed from the basic tenets of animal liberation regarding non-violence. The story also shifts to Africa twice, where people with machine guns protect animals from poachers. But activism was not the main point of the film. The main focus was Ellen's efforts to find a way out of her partner's infidelity, and, in my opinion, she succeeded.
