Pallotty 90's Kids - A beautiful reminiscence to childhood days

Pallotty 90's Kids

A small beautiful movie that takes you to your childhood days and memories.

The story is about a young man returning to his hometown cherishing the memorable moments with his closest pal that happened in their childhood days.

Sensational screenplay writing by Deepak Vasan and Jithin Raj's brilliant executional capability has taken the audience to their childhood memories and relive those moments. I could easily relate to the movie being a 90's kid especially the collection of cricketer & wrestler cards, going to neighborhood for watching TV,fear about kidnap in Omni van, imitating wrestling moves with friends & siblings. The movie gives us a chance to reflect on our lives and to forgive and forget the childhood traumas and the importance of nurturing and maintaining good relationships. The mischievousness & innocence of childhood days is portrayed effortlessly by all the kids in the movie and credit goes to Abu Valayamkulam for the brilliant casting in the movie.

Sensational performances by Davinchi Santhosh,Neeraj Krishna & Adish Praveen. Intense performances by Saiju Kurup,Balu Varghese,Arjun Ashokan & Sudhy Kopa.

Melodious tracks & BGM's by Manikandan Ayyappa gave more satisfaction in cherishing the good old days. Incredible set work by Benglann and Sharon's visuals of the village gave more colour and life to the movie.

Hats off to the director for bringing such a beautiful story to the big screen s.

A must watch movie in theatres with family if you want a sense of enlightenment and delightful experience while cherishing your good old memories.

Nostalgia Revisited: A Heartwarming Tale of Friendship

This movie beautifully captures the essence of childhood friendship, evoking a sense of nostalgia, especially for Indian 90s kids. The story revolves around the pure and emotional bond between two kids, narrated in a heartfelt manner that resonates deeply.

Master Davinci's performance stands out as the highlight of the film. His portrayal of the main character is outstanding, elevating the movie's quality with his natural and emotional acting. The other young actor complements him perfectly, and their chemistry on screen is truly touching.

While the first 10 minutes may feel a bit slow, the story picks up pace and deeply connects with the audience, immersing them in its emotional depth. The movie is sprinkled with moments of nostalgia, but it stays true to its core of entertaining and engaging the viewers.

The songs are well-timed and blend seamlessly with the narrative, especially the final track, which leaves a lasting impression. The emotional conclusion of the movie emphasizes the pure and selfless love of childhood friendships, leaving the audience with a warm and fulfilling feeling.

The direction, art, and color tone work together to recreate the 90s era with remarkable authenticity. The art direction deserves special mention for its attention to detail, transporting viewers back in time. The casting is impeccable, and the character of Kannan Chettan adds an extra layer of warmth and purity to the story.

Overall, despite a slightly slow start, this movie is a nostalgic gem. It's a touching portrayal of friendship, emotions, and the simple joys of childhood that will melt your heart and leave you reminiscing about your own childhood bonds.

Nostalgic

A very good children's film and the film evokes the nostalgic memories inside you. The film has got a good story and all the leading child actors have performed very well. The production design was perfect for a movie like this and all these elements takes you back to your childhood days.

Don't expect a commmercial film by seeing the poster of the film. It's a story of two friends. The story and screenplay was fine and I liked the climax too but it could have been a 'proper' ending, sadly it lacked that '100% completion' we expect. But neverthless this is a good film. The film received many awards recently from the Kerala govt.

We only can choose our friends in this life

Yea, its true we cannot choose anything from our parents, to life, or education or to work even. But yes god didn't snatch our opportunity to choose our friends. This creation is so awesome to pinch your heart with the emotion everyone carries, but few get a chance to realize it through true friends. Watch it to get that pinch. You will carry that for a while from now. True Gem in collections for watching with kids and your childhood crush.

I will thank the director Jithin, Camera Sharon ,music Manikandan and yes the child characters Kannan & Unni played by Davinchi and Neeraj. Kudos entire team of P90 kids !!!!

DAVINCHI SANTHOSH Shines as Kannettan in the Heartfelt Masterpiece Pallotty 90's kids

Pallotty 90's Kids is truly a gem of a movie, capturing the raw emotions and struggles of childhood in a way that hits you right in the heart. Kannettan's journey, filled with sacrifices and hardships, was both nostalgic and heartbreaking. I was moved to tears seeing his innocence and resilience despite the challenges of poverty. Davinchi Santhosh, the young actor who played Kannettan, delivered such a natural and impactful performance-it's heartbreaking to see his name is not highlighted in the cast list on Google! His performance was so moving and natural and he carried the film making it an unforgettable experience. This movie is a must-watch and a reminder of the silent struggles many kids endure. Thank you for such a powerful story!

Below average and boring

It was quite boring. I didn't liked it. The movie seemed to have stuffed together 90s things without any sensible order. The storyline didn't made any sense. It had scenes of 90s life as a kid which was relatable and the main character in the movie did good acting but he still couldn't save the movie from being a flop movie because it lacked it's soul: a good storyline.

In the last scenes of the movie, the movie felt a bit racial as the main character who had a bit darker skin is portrayed to be a poor mechanic. While his friend who had a bit lighter skin, even though he had similar financial background and less intelligent than his friend is portrayed to have become a successful man and have purchased an expensive bike. What a nonsense.

I would rate it 5/10.

Perfect film for 90s kids

"Watching this film was like opening a time capsule from the 90s, filled with all the emotions, memories, and friendships of that era. The movie beautifully captures the essence of genuine relationships, with a story that explores friendship, nostalgia, and the impact people have on our lives, even after they're gone.

From the very first scene, the film pulls you in with a sense of familiarity. The cinematography and setting make you feel like you're right back in the 90s, with subtle references that bring back memories of a simpler, more connected time. There's something magical about how it recreates that decade-not just through visuals, but in the emotions, attitudes, and bonds that define the characters.

The characters are incredibly well-developed and feel authentic, as if they're people you've known your whole life. Their stories are not exaggerated or over-the-top; they're simply relatable. The friendships in the film feel raw and genuine, portraying the ups and downs that come with relationships over the years. Each character has their own journey, and the way they support each other through hardships, joys, misunderstandings, and reconciliations reflects what true friendship is all about. The beauty of the story lies in its simplicity and honesty, something many modern films often overlook in favor of drama or spectacle.

The film explores the bittersweet realities of life, and it's a refreshing change to see a movie that doesn't shy away from showing vulnerability. It brings up memories of friendships we've all had and perhaps lost, the kind of relationships that shaped us and left a mark on who we are. Through the characters' lives, it reminds us how friendships evolve, how they sometimes end, and how we continue to carry pieces of each other. As the story unfolds, it's easy to feel a mix of joy, laughter, and eventually, a wave of sadness that hits just as the film reaches its conclusion.

One of the film's strongest aspects is its ability to evoke raw emotions. There are scenes that are beautifully crafted to bring out memories of our own friendships and shared moments. The laughter feels real, the conflicts hit home, and the reunions are incredibly touching. As the movie reaches its final moments, you realize how attached you've become to these characters, and saying goodbye feels almost as hard as parting with real friends.

The music also deserves a mention. The soundtrack is perfectly aligned with the theme, combining 90s classics with a few soulful instrumental pieces that enhance the emotional depth of the film. The music doesn't just serve as background noise; it complements the scenes and adds a layer of nostalgia that feels genuine rather than forced. It's a soundtrack you'll want to keep revisiting even after the film ends.

Ultimately, this movie is not just about friendship, but also about growth, memories, and how we carry pieces of our past into our future. It serves as a reminder of the friends who were once so important, the laughter we shared, and the tears we shed. It's a testament to how friendships, even if they fade with time, still hold a special place in our hearts.

The final moments of the film were especially moving, and I couldn't hold back the tears as the credits rolled. There's something incredibly powerful about a movie that can bring you to tears simply by telling an honest, heartfelt story. This film does that with grace and subtlety. It doesn't need grand gestures or dramatic plot twists to make an impact; its power lies in its sincerity.

In an era where so many movies rely on big budgets and special effects, it's refreshing to see a film that puts its focus on storytelling and character. This is a must-watch, especially for anyone who values meaningful relationships and appreciates the beauty of the past. If you want a film that will make you laugh, cry, and reminisce about the friendships that shaped you, this is it. Highly recommended!"

What a boring film

A film about 90s kids who grew up in extreme poverty. In the beginning, the voice-over addresses the audience, urging those born after 2000 to watch and understand the struggles of 90s kids. But why? Who really cares about a "poor and lifeless" childhood? The hardships of those times seem irrelevant to a modern audience. After all, many of the nostalgic "90s things" - from playing outdoors to collecting cards or using retro tech - are still part of the childhood experience for kids today. So, what makes the 90s era so special? It's not just the outdated tech or the lack of internet-it's about resilience, creativity, and how kids adapted to limited resources in ways that shaped their worldview. The film explores how the past, even if it feels distant, still influences the present, especially in how younger generations perceive progress, privilege, and community.

Superb film

Such an amazing movie. It was really a visual treat for 90s kids ...I was rewinding all my childhood memories in the theatre while watching the film..felt so refreshed..I even told my childhood friends about it..😍.the cinematography , actors everyone did a great job..just loved the way they connected friendship & nostalgic memories together..

They say God gives you a family you cannot choose. You can, however, pick your friends. No, friends are also a gift from God as you are!"

Actor Saiju Kurup plays Manjulan chettan, the person who the boys think has all the answers. He is a big brother of sorts who helps them with their apprehensions and broken toys. His estrangement from his mother is resolved when he sees how the boys' friendship is based on an absence of expectations.

A feel good padam.

A feel good film, nothing more nothing less. It's a nostalgia awakening film for the 90's kids. They can reminisce some old childhood memories. All the kids who have acted has done a great job. I literally didn't understand how the crew got such impressive talented kids. The main two guys, they were outstanding.

The director, Jithin K Raj what a work he has done. I am sure that he would have taken a lot of efforts to work with these kids throughout the film. Cause making the kids act is a hectic task. Especially when there are lot of kids going around in the same frame. Hat's off to the director for such a simple but great film.

Not only the kids everybody who have acted has done their job well. Acting wise this movie is top notch.

I only felt that the climax should be a little better. It was nice but I felt they would have done it better. That is only negative thing to say this film. Still just loved the movie💖.
