The Shoemaker

Affected by cancer, having short time to live, Victoire, wealthy creator of shoemaking business, goes, with her older son, in the house of her youth , where the first step of her career as shoes maker started.

Not exactly nostalgia is the cause of this return. But a secret who remains too heavy for her conscience. A romance with a neighbor, the marriage with his younger son after the elder one opposition against their romance and marriage plans, the effort of her husband for build his career and the new level of sentimental relation of Victoire with her , now, father in law. And, sure, the identity of the father of one of her boys .

Beautiful for atmosphere and for performances and for fine portrait of a lost world with delicate air of cinnamon and feminism. Not remarkable film but, obvious, more than decent.
