Sarah Elizabeth Drummond’s documentary “Don’t Say Gay” explores the impact of homophobic law Section 28 in 1980s Britain, while Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor’s “Dreamers” presents a love story set in a removal center. Felipe Bustos Sierra’s “Everybody to Kenmure Street” documents a community’s response to an immigration raid in Glasgow.

Brendan Quinn, whose role in Netflix’s “One Day” landed him a best supporting nod at the National Film Awards UK, has joined the ensemble cast of “Scene House,” a dark comedy penned and directed by Annabella Fazio.
Quinn stars alongside Netflix alum Safiyya Ingar (“The Witcher”), Nell Williams (“Blinded by the Light”), Denzel Baidoo (“Last Swim”), Selina Jones (“Raised by Wolves”), Aaron Teoh (“Wicked”) and Ivy Freeman-Attwood (“Two Neighbors”).
Looking at societal obsession with celebrity culture, the short film is set in a dystopian future where actors inhabit an enclosed area called The Scene House – an unsettling hybrid of a theme park and museum. Here, observers pay to enter and, for an additional cost, interact with the actors. One of these Actors, played by Jones, begins to question their existence in The Scene House as the boundaries blur between performance and reality.

The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski has opened up about his involvement in the Netflix adaptation of his hit fantasy book series.
While attending the Vienna Comic-Con last week, Cerealkillerz asked Sapkowski if he had given Netflix any feedback regarding The Witcher series during his set visits. Despite being credited as a creative consultant for two episodes of The Witcher Season 1, the Polish writer admitted that he doesn’t really have a say in the show’s creative direction, revealing that the streamer has "never listened" to his ideas. "Well the set was tremendous, it was so wow, everything," Sapkowski said. "But no, maybe I gave them some ideas, but they never listened to me. They never listen to me, but it’s normal, 'Who’s this? It’s the writer, it’s nobody.'"
