Thalapathy 68, the upcoming film of Vijay, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Ags Entertainment, is all set to begin its shooting from October 3rd. The film, which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, is expected to be a political action thriller with a multistarrer cast. The film will feature Vijay in dual roles as father and son, and he will have different makeovers for each character.

The makers of Thalapathy 68 have planned a look test with Vijay next week in London, where he will undergo a 3D scan for his dual roles1. The look test will help the team to finalize the costumes, makeup and hairstyle of Vijay for both the roles. The film will also have a song shoot in October, which will be choreographed by Raju Sundaram2.

A couple of years back, Aanand L. Rai directed Dhanush in Raanjhanaa, a film that made everyone in Bollywood stand up and take notice of the south star Dhanush. This time round, Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush are yet again coming together, but not as director-actor but as co-producers. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Aanand L. Rai said, "Yes, it is true that Dhanush and I are coming together, not as a director and an actor, but to co-produce a couple of films. The remake of the Tamil hit Velaiyilla Pattathari aka VIP is one of them. And for the record, the film will not have Dhanush as the hero, but will have a different face altogether.
