Peacock released a full trailer for the upcoming installment of Rian Johnson’s case-of-the-week whodunit series, highlighting some of the mysteries that Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie will attempt to solve in the second season. Watch the trailer above, and some the first-look photos below..

In the opening scene of the trailer, she confronts Cynthia Erivo’s character about her real name, explaining: “I have this thing. I can tell when someone’s lying. It’s a thing I do.”

The extremely violent satirical horror movie touched on the nerves of corporate America and depicted the dark side of the financial grinding machine of Wall Street. However, according to director Mary Harron, American Psycho has largely been misunderstood for many years, as "Wall Street bros" have missed the point of the movie, failing to see that Patrick Bateman, lead character and serial killer, is actually making fun of them.

Justin Theroux approves of Luca Guadagnino’s potential “American Psycho” reboot. Theroux, who appeared in Mary Harron’s iconic 2000 film, told Vulture that he supports a new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ novel, especially during the modern political climate.

Guadagnino’s version, which is being billed by Lionsgate as an entirely new adaptation of Ellis’ book, was announced in 2024 with Scott Z. Burns adapting. Austin Butler was rumored to lead the film as Patrick Bateman, the character that Christian Bale first brought to screen. However, author Ellis later said that the remake was “fake news” and that no deals for any of the aforementioned creatives are in place. Guadagnino went on to appear in a video message during Lionsgate’s CinemaCon presentation confirming his involvement in the project.

Chatting with Deadline, Abdy and De Luca discussed the recent hits and misses at Warner Bros., from successful box office hits like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Minecraft to misses like Joker 2.

Tim Burton returned to direct Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which also saw the return of Michael Keaton as the titular character, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz. The sequel also featured several exciting new characters, such as Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter, Astrid, and Justin Theroux as Lydia's new boyfriend, Rory. Willem Dafoe, Burn Gorman, and Monica Belluci were also part of the 2024 film. It grossed over $451 million at the global box office, becoming one of last year's most profitable films.

In a surprising move, the partners at Slate PR — one of Hollywood’s highest-profile publicity firms that represents a long list of A-list stars, creators, talent and events — are dissolving the company.

The development was confirmed Thursday morning in a brief statement sharing that after 15 years together, the partners Stephen Huvane, Simon Halls, Robin Baum, Ina Treciokas and Andy Gelb have all “decided to move forward on separate paths.” The statement added that Treciokas will soon announce her next venture while the others, Huvane, Halls, Baum and Gelb, will “do the same.”

“The partners depart with mutual respect and appreciation for their joint accomplishments at Slate PR,” per a statement received by The Hollywood Reporter. “The partners sincerely thank their clients, colleagues and industry peers for their support throughout the years. Now, HBO has responded to some of the reports that they’re removing the drama.

Cocreated by Stassen, Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, and Ike Barinholtz, Running Point stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, a former party girl who becomes the president of the Los Angeles Waves basketball team. The family-owned business includes older brother Cam (Justin Theroux), middle brother Ness (Scott MacArthur), and younger brother Sandy (Drew Tarver), plus surprise half-brother Jackie (Fabrizio Guido).

The 10-episode first season of Running Point dropped Feb. 27 on Netflix, and it was picked up for Season 2 days later. The series is eligible at the 2025 Emmys in the comedy categories.
