Since 2014, Kiera has used a wheelchair for mobility for undisclosed reasons. With her leading role as Chloe in her feature film debut, Mamá te quiere (2020), she became the first real life wheelchair user to star in a major thriller in 73 years, since Susan Peters in El signo de Aries (1948).
