Celia Imrie was filming during the day and appearing in "King Lear" with Glenda Jackson at The Old Vic at night. A fast car would take her across London to The Old Vic at the end of each day's filming.

Although Timothy Spall and Imelda Staunton had both appeared in Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix (2007) and Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte: Parte 1 (2010), they shared no scenes together in both movies so this was their first real acting collaboration. In the 1970s, they attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) together.
