I live in Canada and watched this at the Indian Film Festival in Edmonton. The direction and everything overall is spectacular. I'm from Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala so I'm very familiar of the settings in this movie. The cinematography and story line by Sujith is superb. Manikandan, the actor who played Ramesh (the main character) acted beyond our expectations. The songs are very memorable and the people who sang have a melodious voice. Even though it's not a big budget film, all the money that was spent and all the hard work that went into is worth it, those two hours were all worth it.

I heard about this film from my friend in Canada and he recommended me to watch. I went with my family yesterday at Lenin Cinemas. It didn't disappoint me at all..
I was balling...I could very well relate Rameshan to any family man struggling to keep the ducks in a row. The director has done precise detailing to portray his love and affection for the family. Manikandan is a gem of the kind. Though in limited appearances, his wife's reaction in the police station was stupendous. I was looking at the director's profile and it's highly impressive. I had watched his previous productions in Jaihind. No wonder his movie debut holds par excellence. This movie is highly recommended: real life of an average man, commitments to his family, crisp detailing of the story line, wonderful cinematography, political beaurocray in law and order, and struggles of an NRI. I have visited many places across the world. I understand how handicapped people are given priority and support by society and the system. On this side of the world they are not out of the hook. Also, they are matter of exploitation in our society- a very disturbing reality. Thanks to you, Sujith- you tried very best to detial it all. We expect many more movies from you..
Watched the movie with family. All of us enjoyed irrespective of age. First half which depicts the character and flaws of Rameshan was very convincing, performance of Manikantan Patambi was outstanding. Though the climax is not justifying flow of the cinema, overall it is entertainer and must watch movie.
My family and I had the opportunity to watch Rameshan Oru Peralla at the Indian Film Festival in Edmonton, Canada. My first initial thoughts going in to watch the movie were "I hope this won't be boring." By the end of the movie, I was blown away and honestly felt like this deserves a standing ovation. When leaving, I kept thinking to myself " That was the best movie I have seen in a while." Rameshan Oru Peralla is one of those exceptional movies that upholds the great Indian film title. Considering movies that come out nowadays, it's quite rare to find a movie that you wish to rewatch over and over again, but this is one for sure. The simplicity and comedy in the beginning, it led the way to a truth that is usually hidden from the public. This story line of Ramesh; a very sincere, new online taxi driver being pulled into this world of recklessness, lies, and police brutality, I felt myself tearing up while watching. The realism coming from all the actors, it was truly breathtaking. At some points it felt like I was watching this person experience this in real life. There are more points in this movie that needs to be rewarded, such as the songs and cinematography. The director, Sujith Vigneshwar, certainly wrote a story line and filmed it in a way that will stay in our hearts forever. Thank you for giving us the pleasure of seeing Rameshan Oru Peralla.

I had the opportunity to watch the World Premier of the new Malayalam movie " Rameshan Oru Peralla", at the Alberta Film Festival on 9th of June 2019. This is a classic film by Mr. Sujith Vighneswar, a newcomer into the film industry. Sujith proved himself to be a promising director by his craftsmanship in this movie. He handled this heavy subject as an experienced director. All actors especially, Manikandan Pattambi, Sharma, and Divyadarshan performed very well. Manikandan's performance is an exceptional one. The songs are very catchy, cinematography is excellent. The director maintained the tempo of the movie from the beginning to the end. The realistic movie touched by many emotional scenes. Sujith wraps it up with a suspense-filled and sentimental climax which offers a message on how the innocent or helpless people get trapped and treated by the law enforcement team. Overall, " Rameshan Oru Peralla"is a fun ride that conveys the message that the director intended to tell the audience. Sujith won the best debut director award for the movie in the festival.
