Alberto Sordi was very impressed by the movie, in particular by the performance of Claudia Gerini.

Carlo Verdone suffered from a vertebral fracture after a dive during filming the scene at the Tivoli water park. He stated that Claudia Gerini had to give him several injections of painkillers following the accident. Anyway, he stated that filming was nevertheless funny. Some days after the movie release, in January 1996, Verdone underwent a back surgery: he stated that the surgeon was impressed that he could complete the filming in that condition.

The scene where Jessica (Claudia Gerini) and Ivano (Carlo Verdone) are bathing in the Tivoli water park was almost improvised: according to the plot, the scene had to be shot in Tarquinia and Jessica had to sunbathe naked. Due to the many photographers around and to the starting rain, Verdone and Gerini organized a totally new scene in less than an hour. According to Verdone, Gerini had a lot of fun while filming this new scene, while producer Rita Rusic was not happy with the change.
