You Are My Audience

As a big Charlie Chaplin fan, I was excited to watch the documentary "You Are My Audience," which features some Chaplin look-alikes. The film aims to explore dual identities through ten interconnected stories from around the world. Typically, I appreciate and enjoy thought-provoking documentaries, but this one left me feeling extremely confused.

The documentary was incredibly artsy and abstract, making it difficult to follow and understand. Most of the stories were so avant-garde that they lost me completely. The only saving grace was Charlie Chaplin impersonator Jason Allin. His story was clear, engaging, and felt normal compared to the rest.

In summary, while Jason Allin's story was a highlight, the overall documentary was a bewildering and disappointing experience. It failed to deliver on its intriguing premise, leaving me more confused than enlightened.

It's possible that I just don't understand it, and that's fine. Being open-minded doesn't mean I'll grasp everything immediately.
