Originally published in 1918, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ The Land That Time Forgot has inspired multiple adaptations, most notably Kevin Connor’s 1974 film. Now, the story returns to the screen courtesy of The Asylum, who previously tackled the tale in 2009. As an actress, Budig started her career in the early 1990s. She first played Michelle Bauer in Guiding Light. By the end of the decade, she joined All My Children as Greenlee Smythe.

Budig also played soap opera actress Brooke Spencer on the sitcom, Hope & Faith, likely poking fun at her own career. Starting in 2015, she also joined General Hospital as Hayden Barnes, a role she appeared in throughout the decade.

ITN Studios has renamed their horror movie inspired by Mickey Mouse from ‘The Mouse Experiment’ to ‘Mouse of Horrors.’

This exciting new indie film has released an official trailer and promises a terrifying twist on a beloved character.

The movie, set to hit theaters soon, features a group of friends who find themselves trapped and hunted by a mutated rat named Steamboat Willie at a creepy amusement park.

Directed by Brendan Petrizzo, the cast of ‘Mouse of Horrors’ includes Natasha Tosini, Lewis Santer, Nichaela Farrell, Michelle Bauer, Allie Moreno, and Tessa Wood. It’s important to note that this film is not associated with the so-called “Poohniverse.”

Interestingly, the film taps into the newly public domain character of Steamboat Willie, the classic 1928 short film character that marked Mickey Mouse’s debut. Now that it’s public domain, filmmakers are free to use this version of Mickey without needing Disney’s approval.

Originally announced under the title The Mouse Experiment, ITN Studios has announced today that their upcoming Mickey-inspired horror movie is now titled Mouse of Horrors.

Fans of the The Bold and the Beautiful got a shock on the August 6 episode when soap alum Rebecca Budig made her surprise debut as Dr. Taylor Hayes. Did you know Friday the 13th director Sean S. Cunningham made a The Thing knock-off starring Bruce Campbell for the Sci-Fi Channel? It’s called Terminal Invasion, and it’s coming to Blu-ray on April 25 from Kino Lorber.

The 2002 sci-fi thriller is written by Lewis Abernathy (DeepStar Six), John Jarrell (Romeo Must Die), and Robinson Young. Chase Masterson and C. David Johnson co-star. Harry Manfredini (Friday the 13th) composed the score.

Special features include an audio commentary by Cunningham and executive producer Chuck Simon and an Alien Costume Test featurette. It comes with a slipcover.

Back in 2019, it was announced that Full Moon was developing a sequel to the 1988 cult classic Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama (watch it Here), with Slimeball director David DeCoteau returning to the helm for Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama 2 and co-directing the film with legendary scream queen Brinke Stevens. Stevens played a character named Taffy in the original film. The sequel was slowed down a bit by the pandemic, but production is officially underway now – and while it’s not clear if DeCoteau still has a hand in the project, we can say for sure that Stevens is directing the film. Recognised as one of the original scream queens and a career spanning over three decades, Debra Lamb continues to work in film both as an actress and writer. I was lucky enough to talk with Debra about working on her upcoming film projects There’s No Such Thing as Zombies and Expresso to Die For, the title of a scream queen title, her short stories and an idea for the delicious sounding vegan dish ‘Lamb Stew.’ Check out part one of this interview right here.

As someone who grew up haunting video stores throughout the late 80s and well into the 90s, director Rick Sloane was something of an icon. You see I was one of those teenagers who loved to rent any and all T&A comedies I could lay my hands on, and Sloane was the man behind Vice Academy and its six, yes six(!) sequels. Why Vice Academy? Well my other love at the time was horror movies, and in particular those featuring scream queens such as Linnea Quigley, Michelle Bauer, Brinke Stevens and Monique Gabrielle… and Vice Academy – and its immediate sequel – starred the one and only Ms. Quigley – it was, at least for me at the time, kismet: Linnea Quigley and T&A comedy? Sounded like heaven...

As a kid growing up in the 80s there were only a handful of women who, at least for this young horror fan, could sell a film on their name alone. For T&A terror it was the likes of Brinke Stevens, Michelle Bauer and Linnea Quigley; but for the real stuff, the truly horrorfying movies it was Barbara Crampton. To this day I will watch any film to which her name is attached, he presence in a movie, especially a horror movie, always elevates the production. Which is why We Are Still Here was pretty much a given at this years Frightfest!

But it’s not just the presence of Crampton that attracted me to this particular slice of New England horror.

he United Kingdom has an infamous history when it comes to censorship. The debacle of the eighties with many films, either good or bad becoming the victims of censorship is something that we’d rather forget. Films were looked down on even for having certain words in the title, with one example being Chainsaw which was probably because of the dubious connection to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. One of these movies that dared to test the censors with such a name was Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers which 88 Films have now released on Blu-ray as part of their Slasher Classics Collection.

It’s fair to say I’m a sucker for scream queen “documentaries”. Be they the T&A filled features such as Scream Queen Hollywood Hot Tub Party, more amateur-hour productions such as Donald Farmer’s shot-on-video Invasion of the Scream Queens, or the awesome scream queen interviews that featured in Stephen King’s World of Horror – if it features an interview with a scream queen then I’m there. I’m also a fan of the documentaries and Blu-ray extras produced by High Rising Productions – including their previously released slasher movie documentary: Slice and Dice: The Slasher Movie Forever.

Put the two together and… I’m in filmic heaven!

The first wave of 88 Films’ Slasher Classics Collection hasn’t even hit stores yet and the company have released details of “wave 2″ – including four worldwide Blu-ray premieres, each debuting with new HD scans from the original materials approved by the directors themselves!
