Gravitas Ventures have announced the acquisition of director Miles Doleac’s macabre riff on the Cernunnos myth, Demigod, which stars Rachel Nichols. The distributor plans for a late-October, day-and-date streaming and theatrical release.
Directed and co-written by Doleac (alongside Michael Donovan Horn), Demigod was produced by Doleac, James Victor Bulian, Lindsay Anne Williams, and Wesley O’Mary, the same team behind 2020’s The Dinner Party. Demigod’s supporting cast includes Doleac, Williams, Elena Sanchez, and Jeremy London.
Says Doleac:
I’m extremely grateful to Jeff Cooper and to Gravitas for their belief in this film’s potential. From its infancy, I knew this was a film that I wanted seen on the big screen. I’m heartened that audiences will have the opportunity to see it in movie theaters, an increasing rarity, of course, for true indie films.

The emotions that stampede through the 23 tracks on Stop the War should be familiar to anyone who’s heard songs objecting to the Vietnam fiasco of the Sixties and Seventies. Soldiers yearn to see their lovers or families again or beg those partners to stay faithful; protesting voices call out for troops to be brought home or simply never be sent into battle at all. Some of the voices are angry; others are dipped in anguish.
What sets this anthology apart from nearly every other collection of anti-war songs, though,...

Producer Paul Maslansky is moving forward on "The Silent Flute", a reworked version of a film treatment martial arts legend Bruce Lee wrote before his death, for B&E Productions reports Variety.
Maslansky's son Sasha is writing a script off of Lee's treatment described as an "epic martial arts adventure film". The producer previously adapted the treatment into the 1978 film "Circle of Iron".
That film followed a young martial artist (Jeff Cooper) on a quest for the Book of All Knowlege held by a wizard (Christopher Lee), along the way facing several challenges.
Maslansky promises this new one will not only honour Lee's original artistic integrity but will "reach new levels of action and adventure never before seen in martial arts filmmaking."...
