12 tapped for Adami short
CANNES -- French artists organization the Adami has chosen 12 young talents to star in a short film directed by filmmaker Lea Fazer for its annual Cannes Talents program, organizers said Monday.
Now in its 16th consecutive year, the Cannes Talent program asks notable directors to make short films featuring the nation's up-and-coming talent, which screen for industry professionals during the Festival de Cannes and are available for viewing at www.talentscannes.fr.
Fazer will direct a 20-minute short film titled "Bientot j'arrete" (Soon, I'll Stop) featuring this year's young talent pool, which includes Gil Alma, Johanna Bah, Dominik Bernard, Cecile Bouillot, Emilie Chesnais, Tewfik Jallab, Marie Kremer, Fabienne Lucchetti, Deborah Marique, Gregory Montel, Amandine Pudlo and Antoine Regent.
Fazer and her cast will present the film at a special screening during the festival. The short is co-produced by the Adami and Gallic production company les Films du Poisson. Partner organizations for the event include the Director's Fortnight sidebar, the ARP, the Acid, Le Cinema des Cineastes and the SACD.
