As already pointed out the acting is terrible. The costumes are also low quality. And do not show imagination either.
But to think the script is passable is quite silly. So a technology that was unavailable with 7 billion people is doable once there are 7 billion people less and the hundred or so individuals are split into warring clans. Right. There is no maintenance but civilization uses the same industrial plastics from before.
