Rather monotonous

A very nice start somewhere in the U K with 3 bad guys fighting against the police but finally get arrested

Now in this movie this is nothing what you think for everyone involved. Instead the only ignorant are the ...ladies .Even the father is not wha someone can think.

IN contrast to the remain movies the humor is rude The main actor has the double personality disorder a king of schizo acting between Sandy (the good )and Sunny (the bad ) Many crazy scenes encounter this split problem with the end acting against himself and his friends team Even the rascal-ling scenes are very funny (trying to show that the one is blind the other can't speak and Akshay performing the disabled) and nearly down to earth but a few times highly exaggerated

Although the story is good the story gets hollow and I got rather bored with nearly the same funs or insanities and closes relatively interesting There are many action scnes with the best in the end of the movie . Sons of the one man against the grooms with rather twisted and happy end.

Just another entertaining movie with noting more to offer 5/10.

Just an average movie

Director duo Mr. Sajid-Farhad work is good. They enhance the comedy by their shot taking and narration style. Story is clumsy. Three girls, one fake astro prediction, three boys who pretend to be blind, cripple, and mute, a Don, his right men, under cover betrayal, all for sake of money. Screenplay also doesn't offer anything new. Dialogues by director duo are enjoyable but it is not consistent. If you can enjoy scene like a person, who wants to be a car racer, looses his winning race due to his car fuel finishes, because he couldn't had noticed it. Then he tries to run till finish line to win. If such type of scene make you smile rather than irritate then this movie offers such type of content in abundant. A girl literal translates English proverb in Hindi, like " Tum Thand Ki Goli Lo" for take a chill pill like one liners. All characters in the film have double side, like girls are humble in home but extra modern outside, all three lead male characters have to portray just opposite what they actually are, like footballer has to be cripple, car racer has to be blind and rapper has to be mute. Emotional angle in pre climax is very boring, even a so called sad song comes with funny visuals but then climax is enjoyable. Apart from dialogues another saver point is performance. Akshay Kumar as split personality 'Sundy' is hilarious. The way he had carried the body language of that Sundy is too good. Abhishek Bachchan as Bunty, is good. Ritesh Deshmukh as Teddy, is very good. All girls are just for glamour quotient. Boman Irani is fine. Jackie Shroff is impressive. He carries his look and personality in interesting way. Chanky Pandey is OK.

10 Jokes In Total. ♦ Grade D-

The third film in the popular yet low-quality comedy franchise, Housefull 3 doesn't try much to impress. So it ends up with its predecessors in the Bollywood abyss where all bad movies go.

Sandy (Kumar), Bunty (Bachchan), and Teddy (Deshmukh) are in love with Ganga (Fernandez), Saraswati (Fakhri), and Jamuna (Haydon), respectively, mostly because they are the rich daughters of Batook (Irani), a Gujarati NRI with a bad sense of humor. Because things are rather messy and there are couple of skeletons up in the cupboard, Batook wants his daughters to marry some other blokes; so he refuses to meet their beaus. However, the daughters manage to introduce the trio to their father by asking them to fake some disability. So Sandy becomes a cripple, Bunty becomes a man with no voice, and Teddy pretends to be blind. So you get the idea how the jokes are formed and what ensues further in the plot, along with few slightly unnecessary side arcs.

While there is some good old average comedy here to chuckle at, the main problem with Housefull 3 is that it spends 2 hours in making fun of various disabilities, races, and languages, and then towards the climax tries to absolve itself with a confession. It's all good in light-heart, but the overall effect that it gives is mostly unpalatable.

That's it, there's not much else to say here as anyone who has seen any of the previous two films can deduce the story from what information I have provided. The three lead actors are funny to watch, compared to the female leads' performances; they are rather clumsy and pouty in their approach. Songs are dim and so are the montages.

BOTTOM LINE: Sajid-Farhad's Housefull 3 is nothing different from its predecessors and all it provides is few chuckles that may not be welcome in the type of country that India has now become (in the wake of Tanmay Bhatt's Snapchat video controversy). Wait for TV premiere and switch between channels during commercials.

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? YES

Crude, unfunny, racist, sexist and what not! A below-the-belt film which is totally avoidable..

What irks me is to see such crude, racist, sexist, objectionable content getting green signal from censor while they are cutting/banning content driven films in the name of cuss words or gory scenes.. These kind of trash (read houseful 3) is not even slapstick comedy but plain derogatory.

Sample these "hateful eight" points:-

1. One can't simply turn a blind eye to the enormous effort put in by writer-director duo Sajid-Farhad to ridicule multiple forms of handicap and then defend it by throwing in a church scene at its fag end, wherein a priest after Bollywood's own heart spews lectures like "Awww…you did it for love." Of course, they did, for THE LOVE OF THE BOX OFFICE.

2. Housefull's tradition of lowbrow humour is faithfully carried on through Housefull 3's relentless stock of sexist and racist jokes.

African guy appears on screen - hilarious. huh!

Insinuate a black housemaid slept with a Indian who couldn't tell because it was dark side-splitting.

Hysterectomy is great advice because nobody would want to marry a woman who can't conceive - now that's just… priceless? But, hey, look at the bright side -no homophobic jokes. If this isn't an improvement, what is?

3. Did you know there are more than 50 ways to express 'Huh?' Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri dedicate their entire screen time to the cause, only to watch Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's far more expressive wax mannequin steal the show.

4. Comedy is pulverizing the English and Hindi languages to babble baloney. In Housefull 3, the girls don't have too many lines but, when they do, they change into Ajay Devgn's character from Bol Bachchan in reverse.

And so, in mambo jumbo tongue, "Kaamwali gayi kaamwali gayi" is "Let bygones be bygones", and "Paal-pos ke oopar ja" translates to 'Grow up'! Right.

5. Ever seen dogs lift their leg to pee against a lamppost, Tyre or tree? Incredible how Housefull 3 finds creative inspiration in that most unbecoming of sights and choreographs an entire song and dance devoted to this act in Taang uthake.

6. Discover deep metaphors on how intently Housefull 3 focuses on its leading ladies' long legs (they deserve individual billing in the credits), as if to atone for Akshay Kumar's phony immobility.

7. There's Abhishek, mouthing lines off Amitabh Bachchan's movies and posing next to his statue at Madame Tussauds for a selfie. Could they be related?

8. Housefull 3's second most remarkable piece of acting comes from an army of CGI ants. To divulge more would be such a spoiler so I'll refrain.

Still curious about this hokum? Clearly, sarcasm is not your cup of tea but there's good reason to believe Housefull 3 might be. If only I could say 'enjoy' this trash & ignore some recent gems like Phobia, Waiting or Upcoming Te3n, Udta Punjab, Raman Raghav or Madaari..

May be somewhere I feel we as an audience deserve this trash..

Just have fun....

Don't come with too high expectations. Remember its a Bollywood comedy movie, you might see some trite moments. So seat back, relax and sure you'll laugh. Everyone delivered what best they could do based on the story-line. Akki with split personality was very good. Ritesh was wonderful. AB was nice too. Boman, no question about it. Girls, I would say only Jacqueline was looking mesmerizing and convincing in her role. Other girls were so so. Jackie had a nice and short stint but played well his part. Couple of good numbers. Nice photography and choreography.

Overall a nice entertainer. Go watch it.

A fully Family Entertainer, Must watch Comedy film

Touted to be the biggest laugh riot of this year, 'Housefull 3' has hit the theaters today The film that stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon has done a tremendous job throughout the movie. Not just them, but actors like Boman Irani and Jackie Shroff will also be seen in supporting roles. We just watched it, Its simply awesome. Akshaykumar's comic timing is superb and he nailed it. He is truly player of the Bollywood and he deserves his title. He is really too good throughout the movie. All the supporting cast has done a very job, We loved them all specially Ritesh and Abhishek, and I'm damn sure that you gonna love it. Boman Irani has also done a good job and he will make you to watch the movie. The leading ladies Jacqueline, Nargis and Lisa entertained a lot with their accent. The Aakhiri Pasta didn't impress the audience #I'm_joking. The film is totally family entertainer and We enjoyed each and every dialogues throughout the movie, the dialogues are really mind blowing, and you'll love it. A must watch film for all who loves comedy film. And I would say a fully #PAISA_WASOOL movie. Go and watch.

Amazing movie it is hilarious specially akshay kumars part

After watching Housefull 3 you will be holding your stomach in pain due to the amount you laugh in the movie.Like all films in this genre don't go in expecting logic but sure your going to get your funny bone kicked every now and then.Akshays split personality act is the best where he's sundi and sandy.Everyone else does a decent job in supporting him but the true life of the movie is Akshay Kumar and his comic timing. Also the chemistry with the boys is awesome and it shows on screen.Never to be bored on this movie also watch out for the second half its a laugh riot. Rating 20/10 because laughter is earned with great difficulty and this one makes you enjoy to the core. I swear you should recommend this movie to your friends

Fun In Parts!

The Third Installment in the Housefull Series, 'Housefull 3', is helmed by Writer-Director Duo Sajid-Farhad, instead of Housefull Veteran Sajid Khan. And to be honest, this third part is actually funny in parts, despite some ridiculous jokes. Lock Away Logic & Enjoy This MAD Ride!

'Housefull 3' Synopsis: A father (Boman Irani) doesn't want his three daughters (Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri & Lisa Haydon) to get married. However, their 3 respective boyfriends (Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan & Riteish Deshmukh) show up pretending to be disabled people, in order to gain sympathy from their father as well slurp up all their money. But things take a turn when a Don (Jackie Shroff) interrupts their plan.

'Housefull 3' begins tepidly & honestly, I wasn't laughing initially. But, right after the Leading-Men enter their lady-love's home as the disabled souls, the narrative picks up. However, its the second-hour of this crazy, nutcase comedy, that turns into a laugh-riot. The second-hour, though over populated, is still packed with enough jokes & gags, which do the trick. The Climax, particularly, is hilarious!

Writer-Director Duo Sajid-Farhad package 'Housefull 3' as a slapstick comedy, although some jokes, especially the ones involving the heroines translating English puns into Hindi, are unfunny to the core. But, the humor works in favor of Akshay Kumar's character, who suffers from dual-personalities. There is even a nice twist towards the interval point, which definitely, works. But overall, the Writing could've been better. Of course, I didn't expect 'Housefull 3' to be a comedic gem, but we have heard & read some of the many such jokes on whatsapp long ago. Even the Dialogue, range from hilarious to plain silly. Their Direction, on the other-hand, is passable. Cinematography is decent. Editing could've been sharper. Music by Various Artists, is peppy. Art & Costume Design are good.

Performance-Wise: Akshay Kumar steals the show. His Genius Comic-Timing isn't something that's new anymore, but he portrays the dual-personality driven character, with unbelievable ease. He is undoubtedly, the film's best joke! Riteish Deshmukh is also superb, while Abhishek Bachchan has his moments. Of the ladies, Jacqueline Fernandez leaves a mark. Boman Irani is first-rate, his Gujarati dialect is perfect. Jackie Shroff has a small role, but he enacts it sincerely. Chunkey Pandey returns as Aakhri Pasta & he's enjoyable, as ever.

On the whole, 'Housefull 3' isn't a laugh-riot, but its funny in parts nonetheless.

just leave your Brain behind for a bit "Dont Mind"

As expected the trailer of Housefull 3 gives much of the film away. A rich Gujju businessman in London, Batuk Patel (Boman Irani), doesn't want to marry off his three daughters because of the curse of broken marriages running in his extended family. All hell breaks lose when he learns that all the three sanskari girls – Ganga, Jamuna and Saraswati (Jacqueline Feernandes, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon) – have a boyfriend each. A car racer called Teddy (Riteish Deshmukh), a rapper called Bunty (Abhishek Bachchan) and a footballer called Sandy (Akshay Kumar).

The boys do manage to get an entry into the girls' mansion but by playing blind, mute and crippled. The confusion gets confounded when this role playing has to get interchanged. The blind has to turn mute, the mute has to become crippled and the one playing crippled has to turn blind. All for the sake of the Indian Don, Urja Nagare (Jackie Shroff) to whom Batuk owes a royal sum of Rs 5000 crores. Well there is more but that will be telling it all.

So with the story out of the way all that's left to follow in the film is whether the situations and gags are funny enough or not. Unfortunately they aren't and a morning show in Mumbai hardly had anyone in the audience smiling, leave ROFLing away. No one would go looking for logic in the Housefull franchisee but inspired madness and sublime silliness is definitely worth demanding. No such luck.

One can't quite go looking for political correctness in such a film. But Housefull3, doesn't know where it wants to stand on issues. No wonder after cracking many a joke at the physically challenged its attempt to redeem itself in the end seems half baked and forced. The film's stand on racism is also just as confused. Initially Indians and the blacks are seen at the same end of the racial slurs yet you have the Gujju empire of Batook Patel populated entirely by black maids and distasteful references made to their wombs. And not to forget the play with maa and behen in the lyrics. What are these songs trying to say? It's Askhay Kumar who gets the maximum play as the footballer suffering from dissociative identity disorder. The split personality has a patriotic reason. It's all an aggression resulting from the depression he feels as an Indian on being mistreated by the Westerners. Kumar hams with abandon in two long sequences where he has to swing between his two selves and gets to speak the funniest line of the film: "such huge (Rs5000 crore) loans are not taken by individuals but nations". His Paris-parrot-paragon-Paramount-pears routine is also funny.

Abhishek Bachchan has a natural flair for comedy but here he is toned down to the extent of becoming lacklustre. And can we please see him with an identity of his own rather than being burdened with his illustrious surname? He is certainly more than a "bade baap ka beta". Even on the silver screen.

It's left to Jackie Shroff then, gun in hand and blade hidden inside his mouth, who displays more charisma than the rest of the cast put together. Wish there was more of him.

Housefull again , headache again

So the third installment of the houseful series is back. The third part has Sajid-Farhad at helm of things unlike the previous two. The only good thing about this houseful is Akshay Kumar . It was disappointing to see Riteish perform below par this time as he's veteran in comedies. The biggest disappointment was Abhishek Bachchan. All the dialogues were so lame that an elementary kids too wont find it funny . Chunky Pandey reprises his role of Aakhri Pasta and looks repetitive hence looks boring. Abhishek Bachchan trys his best to act funny but hes overdone it again this time with equal disappointment. What waste of time.

One of the worst comedies India has produced.

I'm an avid lover of Indian movies, especially comedies. I always find myself exploring more and more films. India has produced some great comedies: Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Dhol, Dhamaal, Deewane Huye Pagal, Hungama, and the list can go on. On the other side of this however, the writer duo Sajid-Farhad has done its best to write screenplays for the worst Indian comedies ever. Housefull 3 is a film full of childish jokes and gags. It has a ridiculous plot, a no-brainer story, and it tries extremely hard to be funny, but not one time does it try to be good. Two of the male lead has a disability. Sandy becomes 'Sundy' whenever he hears the word 'Indian', and this is as cringe-worthy as it sounds. Ritesh's character mispronounces some words, for example 'Dolat' and 'Aurat'. The female leads do literal translations of English sentences and this ends up confusing the other characters in the film, and makes me want to tear my eyes out. There was no sense of direction in this film. The film is directed by Sajid-Farhad Samji, who wrote the first garbage that came to their minds, and said 'Hey, let's turn this into a film'. I am surprised no one tried to stop them. Every actor was doing his/her whole thing, there was no sense of coordination. The acting was beautifully terrible. The lead actors are at least 10-15 years older than the lead actresses, and every actor was cast because of their looks and their fan-following. None of the lead actresses can act, I mean in the whole film all I could see Nargis Fakhri do was bend up and down trying to explain stuff either to her dad, or her boyfriend with her perky lips meanwhile Jaqueline was busy showing her thighs. This is Akshay's worst performance I have seen and I have seen the best and worst of him. He didn't even try. It's like every crew member was concerned with his/her paycheck. And let's face it, Abishek and Ritesh could never act. Meanwhile I don't know what hit Boman Irani's head throughout the whole film. The cinematography was okay. It captured the beauty of the locations, but didn't even try to do something special. The dialogue was absolutely crap. The screenplay was genuinely horrible. The characters are unbelievable, their stories are unbelievable, and the jokes aren't funny, except if you're a 5 year old. On one side of Indian comedies is Neeraj Vora, and on the other far side, we have this duo that has swore to never even try to make something genuine. Most of the film's core problems lie in its screenplay. People really need to get their heads together, and start valuing the great films and bashing films like these, because if a film like Housefull 2 can get a third installment, meanwhile Hera Pheri 3 rests on the bookshelf, then I don't really see Indian comedies going anywhere.

Housefull 3 Review: A Comedy that Induces Pain but Not From Laughs

Akshay carries this one with his comic timing

As with previous installments in Housefull franchise, this follows the same template with all characters coming together in same house and then there is confusion, chaos and comic situations arising out of those. The story doesn't hold much value in a slap stick comedy so skipping that part and coming to the characters and gags directly. The problem here is that most of the gags in 1st 45 minutes fall flat. Funny moments start once Batook Patel (Boman Irani) starts testing Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan for pretended handicap by them.

Batook Patel (Boman Irani) uses word play which falter most of the times and sleepwalks through his role of a Gujrati man which he has played innumerable times in such slapstick comedies.

All 3 girls Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon suited their Characters of glamorous looking Dumbo girls who in order to maintain their Indianness translate English phrases literally in Hindi to evoke laughter which worked at some places and fell flat at other depending on the situation in the movie. However the director gets the casting right with them because of their accented Hindi even in real life plus the requirement of the role is that of Bimbos and hence no need for great acting chops.

Jackie Shroff plays a Stylish dreaded gangster and a doting father with aplomb. Riteish Deshmukh was underutilized. He has been a major asset to previous movies in this franchise. Abhishek Bachchan was decent with his deadpan humor in role of an aspiring rapper.

Chunkey Pandey as Aakhiri Pasta is completely wasted. He was hilarious in first two movies in Housefull franchise.

The standout performance comes from Akshay Kumar who can be easily termed as the one having the best comic timing amongst the current crop of Lead actors. He is shown to be suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder and once he becomes Sundi, he is riot with his walk, the way he talks and the funny expression he maintains with wacky behavior. Akshay Kumar is the heart and soul of this movie.

Sajid-Farhad who are directing Housefull movie for the 1st time have done just about decent job, but they overdo jokes and stretches them killing the impact of the gag or jokes as they did in their 1st directorial-Entertainment as well . Director of Previous 2 movies in Housefull series –Sajid Khan, would certainly have made these gags funnier and crisp.

Overall it's a good time pass flick if one ignores the buildup that took almost 40-45 minutes and is not averse to slapstick comedies. I would rate it 6 plus 1 rating extra for Akshay's superb performance as Sundi.

Over Lame

Housefull 3 is one of those movies for which "leaving your brain at home" is an understatement ..

The story and screenplay of the movie is pathetic ..80 % of the jokes are lame ..converting English phrases to Hindi and performing them, duh give us a break guys ..

The only saving grace of the movie was Akshay Kumar ..Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri irritate you to the core.. Jacqueine,Abhishek,Riteish,Boman and Jackie supported Akshay ..

The expectations from the movie were high after watching the trailer but they were all shattered ..The first half is a big let down ..The second half tries to cover it(in some parts) but overall it failed ..

"No brainer comedies" have lost their space in today's cinema but the movies earn at the box office ..

HOUSEFULL 3 ™= Entertainment!

The much awaited H3 has released. This film is more intelligent than the previous installments because this one has lots of slapstick humor ,instead of confusion of identities or double roles, the dialogues are cleverly written and are funny. On the hand the direction is functional or bad. But,the writing and performances by its lead cast are the saving graces of this film. The movie makes you laugh after every 10-5 minutes. This is a family film ,there is no double- meaning that's why kids also love this movie.I don't need to talk about the plot ,if you want to know, you can read it from the top.Performance wise Akshay,Abhishek & Riteish are fantastic.Action scenes are funny especially the climax which is hilarious. All in all H3 is worth your money. My rating--***/5.

What An Awful Movie!

Firstly, Housefull 3 is nothing like its prequels. Housefull and Housefull 2 were much much better. The movie is a total waste of time and money and I would not think of it as a comedy film considering it had no comedy in it, the very few jokes it finally managed to put in the movie made me laugh at the stupidity not the humor. Secondly, there is one main plot or problem the movie revolves around. Housefull 3 revolves around nothing. There is no story line and a problem in the film. Honestly, I would rather say that the Housefull theme and some recurring characters have gotten pretty boring and stupid now. There is not much left to Housefull as it has gotten old and should have ended on a good note rather than a bad one. Lastly, I would like to say that the directors should have ended the series with Housefull 2 and rather not have thrust forcefully boring sequels upon it. This movie is a complete waste of time and money, you should rather just watch Pretty Little Liars than waste your money on this movie in the theaters.

Easily distracted watch in the cinema

Housefull 3 plot wise does not make sense even on it most basic level. This comedy of errors is carried out over the course of 2 and a half hours and does maintain a goofy energy that looks more improvised than scripted. If you are a European its Dirty Rotten Scoundrels meets Dinner For Idiots meets Dumb and Dumber in tone.

The lead males work well together as they try to usurp each other and work well on their own in their individual scenes, especially when they are tested by the potential father in law. The lead actresses are long legged and though not particularly used are efficient in their roles, the housemaids steal their scenes even though they are racial stereotypes from the 1930s films with big staring eyes.

Production wise the scenes shot in the UK look bright and sunny and the CGI ants are a standout, the St Patrick's Beer Day scene as to be seen to be believed it is very green.

This one has to be seen in the cinema, I think watched at home it would take hours to watch if the viewer is easily distracted and loves their pause button
