Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures

I saw some reviews with some people saying it was weird and awkward that you could tell that they were dolls in barbie life in the dreamhouse, but I loved it! It's a parody of how barbie used to be. The messages were good but why did they have to get rid of that iconic, hilarious humor? I'll watch this show but it is no where near as enjoyable as barbie life in the dreamhouse.

Would like to know the nationality of Raquelle because my 4 year old granddaughter is Afro America and was watching episode 5in season 1. The girls go for a surfboard contest after Barbie wins she shakes her hair and she says how it automatically goes back in place. Raquel shakes her hair and it goes into an Afro bush hairstyle. Right after you see her again with straight long black hair. We are confused. Is she Caucasian or Afro America. Afro American hair does not go from a afro bush to long and straight without some assistance. We didn't see or understand that part. Please respond, we are confused.

I have been a Barbie fan my entire life. The new series is absolutely fantastic. Barbie is so relatable and modern! The stories teach wonderful life lessons about friendship, love and family. Tons of humor and fun!! Love!!!

This version is more positive for kids and has more relatable content than the original Barbie Dreamhouse series.

However, the reason the original was good was because it was nonsensical and hilarious, not because anything was positive or relatable. The original is about immortal plastic dolls living in plastic houses in Malibu, it was escapist silly fun for the whole family. It doesn't feel like other kid shows because it's so absurd and imaginative.

My daughter(11), husband, and I loved watching the previous series when she was younger and it's still good, but when we watched this new version today we were surprised that they went in the complete opposite direction of the original. It's not a bad kids show but there's none of the irreverent humor or really anything clever or interesting here in my opinion. My daughter also didn't like that Barbie lacked her endless optimism and willingness to be an open book with her friends in the new version. And where's Midge? She's the best character.

I realize this is a silly review but we got pretty riled up watching the new Barbie Dreamhouse series today, and that's also a bit silly. So it seemed fitting.

My daughter and I actually enjoy this version a lot more than other barbies. I love the animation compared to another Barbie version where you can tell that they're dolls. Super awkward. Their parents are involved in this version also, the sisters and friends work together in all of the episodes! Love it
