Alcohol abuse is no laughing matter!

Tom accidentally falls in a barrel of cider, gets roaring drunk, befriends Jerry, and helps the rodent to raid the fridge, making a huge mess in the process. Narrowly avoiding getting into trouble with Mammy Two Shoes, the cat sobers up and resumes mousing duties, but ends up rat-arsed once more when he inadvertently downs a bottle of rum. Can the sozzled moggy avoid getting into trouble again? Of course not!!!

On paper, a drunken Thomas must've seemed like pretty funny stuff, but somehow the finished cartoon ends up as a fairly laugh-free effort, delivering unimaginative gags and sub standard action. Maybe the animators were saving the really good stuff for their next effortthe award winning 'The Cat Concerto'.

This is the only Tom and Jerry cartoon in which Mammy-Two-Shoes' chin appears while the final shot shows her far in distance.

Errores
The door of Mammy Two Shoes's bedroom opens to the left when she opens it after hearing the crash made by Tom in the kitchen. When Tom goes into her room later, it opens from the other side. Also, when we first see Mammy asleep, she's lying on her right side next to the wall. When Tom is in the room, her bed has moved 180 degrees because her feet are seen next to the wall instead of her head.

On almost all television prints, save for those in the UK, not only is Mammy's voice re-dubbed, but one particular line of dialog, "Well, slap my face, if this ain't a mess!" has also been replaced with, "Well, I'll be darned, this is such a mess!" As well, when an intoxicated Tom is about to splash water on Mammy, his line, "One for the money, two for the show, three to make ready, and four to go!", is muted, leaving only the hiccups he makes when saying the line.
