Here we go again.

Return to Oz (1964) was an animated TV special that see Dorothy back in the Land of Oz to stop the Wicked Witch of the West again. This TV Special is about as mediocre as you would probably expect it to be.

Positives for Return to Oz (1964): I liked seeing this older style of animation and while it's not as good as the animation late on, it still looked good enough. I had some fun watching these characters going on another adventure in the Land of Oz. And finally, this is a special that I can see kids enjoy watching.

Negatives for Return to Oz (1964): This TV Special basically recycles the plot from the 1939 movie and it feels lazy. The characters learn the same lesson as they did before and it doesn't have the same impact or emotion as it did before.

Overall, Return to Oz (1964) is an harmless yet pointless TV Special that doesn't nothing new aside from showing us these great characters again.

Susan Morse sang Dorothy's songs, as Susan Conway did not sing. The TV Guide for the program billed Morse as a Munchkin, presumably as Rankin/Bass did not want it publicized that Conway, who was in her first role, didn't sing.
