Anupam Kher is in the news again. Last week his film Buddha In A Traffic Jam was screened at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi midst loud protests. Anupam wonders who these protesters are and what their motive is. "My director Vivek Agnihotri and I took Buddha In A Traffic Jam to Jnu because the film shows exactly the situation we see in the Jnu. We felt it has relevance and a resonance that the students of Jnu would appreciate. And we were right. Around 4000 boys and girls saw the film." While his previous film Joker turned out to be a huge disappointment, filmmaker Shirish Kunder has now decided to try his hand at directing short films. The trend of short films has really gained momentum of late with several celebrities from Bollywood fraternity taking up these projects and now Shirish is all set to direct a psychological thriller starring Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte and Neha Sharma. Titled Kriti, the film is said to be shot in Mumbai. Manoj Bajpayee not only revealed his excitement about working for the short film but was also all praises for Shirish Kunder. On the other hand, Shirish too expressed his gratitude towards Manoj who had suggested him about the growing trend of short films in the digital space. While this is the first time where Shirish Kunder will be directing a short film, Manoj Bajpayee has been a part of handful of short films like Jai Hind and Taandav.

Humanity is mourning the death of an innocent girl who finally succumbed to her injuries in the Elizabeth Hospital of Singapore, 13 days after she was gang raped by 6 men and brutally injured.
