Interesting doc about a fascinating person

Watched at the Oak Cliff Film Festival.

Everybody has heard of Betty Page, but few have heard of the photographer who took many of her most iconic photographs. The fact that this photographer was herself a bombshell, known at the time as the "prettiest photographer in the world," makes the story even more interesting. With an abundance of footage and photographs, and interviews with heavy-weights such as Larry King, Bruce Weber and even Hugh Hefner (this last one archival), the producers create a compelling narrative filled with eye candy. It is highly entertaining and informative. The film never looses its focus, which is on the ground-breaking career of a gifted, hard-working woman who thrived in a men's world. Interviews with the two daughters, who have different views on their mother's work, add to the layered approach of the film.
