Siccin 6

Ilove horror movies so much that it really trembles horribly, horror scenes with more

I've seen "Siccin 2" and "Siccin 4" the other day, and thus opted to watch the 2019 movie "Siccin 6", as I had the opportunity to do so. As I understand, each movie is a self-contained story, so you don't need to watch the movie chronologically in order to understand them or enjoy them.

It was nice to have Alper Mestçi writing and directing the movie, as he was also the writer and director for parts 2 and 4. Tough I have to say that the storyline wasn't the most coherent of storylines. I struggled to understand fully what was going on, as it was essentially just one random scene that made little sense, followed by a jump scare or three, then moving on to the next scene without any transition from the first, and continue the formula of random scene and jump scares.

With my very limited exposure to the Turkish cinema, then of course I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Now, that is actually something that worked in favor of the movie, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in "Siccin 6" were fair.

There is a lot, and I do mean a lot, of cheap jump scares throughout the course of the movie. It grows very tiring, very quickly, and it doesn't really do much of anything for the narrative, expect for making the audience jump in their seats. Not that I mind jump scares, when done in moderation and adequately, but "Siccin 6" had way too many and too frequent jump scares, and it sort of dragged the movie down a notch.

Visually then "Siccin 6" was good, just as parts 2 and 4 had been. So I am rather impressed with the level of special effects that they managed to pull off in these movies.

My rating of writer and director Alper Mestçi's 2019 movie "Siccin 6" lands on a four out of ten stars.

The acting, though not consistently polished, lends authenticity to the unsettling narrative. The film editing, while occasionally uneven, manages to maintain a sense of suspense. The film's strength lies in its commitment to Turkish supernatural folklore, offering a relentless sense of foreboding. The music heightens the film's overall eerie ambiance, while the cinematography captures the lurking darkness within everyday scenes. "Siccin 6" builds upon the established themes of the series, underscoring the idea that meddling with the paranormal carries a heavy price. While it may have its flaws, it remains an intriguing addition to the "Siccin" series, ideal for those who relish a dose of supernatural chills.

Still prefer Siccin 1-3. Better storylines and scarier too. I was hoping for a good fight between the good and evil but... you got to see it to know what happen.

6 may be the worst of the film almost ... only to support the horror movies in the last 3 films I went to the cinema siccin .. the plot was almost absent in the film as if it had been constantly cut, continuous play, runaway, screaming had to be explained in a larger way.
