In Lethal Company, the party will find themselves beset by all kinds of dangers on every side, which can involve precise turrets aimed at stopping the party in its tracks. Disabling these turrets is one of the best ways to deal with them, as it will allow you to run past them before the turret is active again. Inspired by the party game Mafia and John Carpenter's The Thing, the online multiplayer game is set on a spaceship where players take on the roles of Crewmates who must work together to complete tasks while also identifying and voting out suspected Impostors onboard who are trying to sabotage the mission by killing Crewmates. The game, which was developed by the studio Innersloth, was first released in 2018, but saw a massive spike in popularity in 2020.
Now, Among Us is officially receiving an animated series adaptation, according to Variety. The project is in the works at CBS Studios, which has partnered with the original game studio, Innersloth, to develop the series. Infinity Train's Owen Dennis will serve as creator and executive producer on the series, which is not currently attached to a network or streamer.

With games like Dead Cells and Vampire Survivors getting animated adaptations, it was only a matter of time before someone optioned the rights to bring the ultimate game of deception, Among Us, to the small screen. According to Variety, an Among Us animated series is happening at CBS Studios. CBS Eye Animation Productions is partnering with Innersloth for the project, with Owen Dennis acting as the creator and executive producer through his overall deal with CBS Studios.
The plot of the Among Us animated series mirrors the game, meaning, “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

Kick has poached another big-name Twitch personality. The upstart streaming platform has come to terms with BruceDropEmOff (real name Bruce Ray Condones), who decided to leave Twitch after receiving a fourth ban from the Amazon-owned hub.
Condones is known for playing games like Among Us and Grand Theft Auto. He also collaborates with other notable streamers, including Twitch record-setter Kai Cenat. Though his latest Twitch ban kept him off the platform in the weeks leading up to his big move, he still maintained a passionate following. According to Streams Charts, one of Condones’ last Twitch broadcasts reached a peak audience of nearly 80,000 concurrent viewers.
Like other streaming stars, Condones revealed his platform-hopping decision through a cinematic video. In the clip, Condones wanders across a frozen landscape before traveling through a portal and landing at Kick HQ. He is greeted there by several of the platform’s top draws, including controversial creator Adin Ross.

In a studio overlooking Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, Rian Johnson is strapped to a lie detector machine. Next to him at the controls sits Natasha Lyonne, twiddling the device’s knobs with all the sinister intent of a supervillain. This photoshoot tableau is, of course, ripped right from the Meet the Parents Ben Stiller-Robert De Niro interrogation scene. Next, in an homage to the pithiest of TV detective tropes, Lyonne will pose at a typewriter, fake-talking into a rotary-dial phone. The visual nod this time goes to Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote.
In fact, the late, great Lansbury is connective tissue for Johnson and Lyonne. Lansbury and Lyonne appeared briefly together in Johnson’s film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, on a Zoom call playing the mystery game Among Us with Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery once again finds the eccentric private detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) entangled in a murder mystery with a new set of suspects who loudly demonstrate their Mbti® types. In the Knives Out sequel film, Blanc is mysteriously invited alongside a group of stars and influencers to a gathering on billionaire Miles Bron's (Edward Norton) private Greek island. Miles prepares a murder mystery game to entertain his guests, but his party quickly takes a dark turn when someone is suddenly killed for real.
The first Knives Out was a massive success, effectively playing with the conventions of a traditional murder mystery as Blanc underwent his investigation into the death of Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). While the two movies are wildly different in terms of story and location, they're structured similarly: first, Blanc takes on a new case, and second, Glass Onion's new star-studded...

One True King was busy in 2022. The streamer collective known as Otk spent the year making investments and launching hardware companies.
Now, we’re learning what Otk has in store for 2023. One of its biggest initiatives is Mythic Talent: a “full-service talent management company” co-founded by Otk members Asmongold and TipsOut.
A press release provided to Tubefilter states that Mythic Talent was formed out of a partnership between Otk streamers and “top entertainment agency minds.” The firm is led by CEO William Lucas, a veteran of esports org Tempo Storm and the Afk Agency. One of his chief deputies is Cody Gates, a former Destiny event organizer who is now the COO of Mythic Talent.
In addition to all the standard functions of a management agency, Mythic Talent will help its clients develop “anti-predatory” habits in the dealmaking arena. “Our goal at Mythic is to make the content creator’s...

At the start of Rian Johnson's 2022 murder mystery "Glass Onion," several characters — each from seemingly disparate walks of life — receive mysterious, elaborate puzzle boxes in the mail. The boxes seem to have come from Miles Bron, a wealthy tech industrialist, and self-proclaimed "disruptor," clearly modeled after dubiously important blowhards like Elon Musk. Each of the characters in question are old friends with Miles, and he occasionally sends out these puzzles for fun, but also when he has "important" to share. The first ten minutes of "Glass Onion" are devoted to Miles' compatriots calling each other on the phone and solving the boxes together.
One of the challenges in Miles' box is a tinkly piece of music from a miniature orchestrina. None of the characters can identify the piece in question, however. Not the politician Claire (Kathryn Hahn), not the scientist Lionel, not the Men's Right activist Duke (Dave Bautista...

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has been praised for featuring more comedy than its predecessor, but one obscure joke went over most viewers' heads. The 2019 movie follows Knives Out with Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) attempting to solve another, completely unrelated murder, and this time it's on a sun-soaked Greek island instead of a gothic-looking New England mansion. When invited to tech billionaire Miles Bron's (Edward Norton) private island for a fun murder mystery weekend, an actual killing takes place, and everyone is a suspect, including the billionaire himself. What follows is tons of backstabbing and, more interestingly, exploration of the fantastical island.
Just like Knives Out, the big appeal of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the actual murder mystery, but unlike the 2019 movie, Glass Onion has tons of celebrity references and gags. Given how narcissistic and chauvinistic Miles is, most of the jokes are based on his malapropisms and name-dropping.

[This story contains spoilers from the first four episodes of Peacock’s Poker Face.]
After emerging from another season of Russian Doll’s mind warp, Natasha Lyonne threw herself into a new character.
This time, it was Charlie Cale, the star of her and creator Rian Johnson’s new Peacock series Poker Face. And there are some big distinctions between Nadia — her time-looping and time-traveling lead on the formerly mentioned Emmy-winning Netflix series she co-created — and Charlie, her on-the-run “human lie detector” who anchors the murder mystery-of-the-week Peacock show.
“Nadia is a bit more of a city slicker. She’s got more Lou Reed in her. And Charlie is more like The Dude from The Big Lebowski,” Lyonne, who also writes, directs and executive produces for Poker Face, tells The Hollywood Reporter when comparing her two TV roles. “Charlie sort of has the sun at her back, lives in the desert. She’s not in too much of a rush. And she...

Everyone has played a mobile game that they deem a guilty pleasure at some stage in their lives, and they often go back to that comfort game time and time again. 2022 demonstrated that mobile gaming is still looking to evolve, with the success of Marvel Snap and upcoming updates for titles such as Among Us, indicating that the audience is still hungry for further content on the platform. However, even in 2023, some familiar titles continue to be deemed guilty pleasures, despite drawing in a larger fan base that enjoys interacting with the digital experience, even in secret!
Just like the best guilty pleasure movies, guilty pleasure games can be defined by those titles that might not be deemed as high quality. These games might be intended for older or younger age groups than the interacting players, or they could seem far too simple in their design. These games might not...
