Thank TikTok for this reunion and crossover! On Friday, Will Smith shared a video of himself re-creating an iconic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air scene with co-star Tatyana Ali to the tune of “Anxiety” by Doechii — who also makes an appearance in the video.
The clip, which reimagines a scene from Fresh Prince‘s 1990 pilot episode, sees Smith copying Ali’s dance moves before spotting the actor dancing along. Doechii then comes into the frame to join the dance party. “Waited 35 years for this dance to trend,” joked Smith in the caption.

Lauryn Hill brought out surprise guest Doechii to perform “Doo Wop (That Thing)” at the Fugees singer’s concert Saturday in Miami.
During her set at the Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival, Hill told the crowd, “I want to introduce y’all to another sistah” before welcoming the Grammy-winning rapper — Hill (with the Fugees) and Doechii are two of the only three women to ever win Best Rap Album, along with Cardi B — to the stage.
Following the passing-of-the-torch performance, Doechii reflected on the moment on social media. “Thank you Miss Lauryn Hill.

After a whirlwind February — which saw her steal the show at the Grammys, release a new single, and collaborate on a track with Jennie — Doechii is back with another new song, “Anxiety.”
Built around a sample of Gotye’s timeless hit, “Somebody That I Used to Know,” the single sees Doechii muse on the titular feeling of anxiety, getting at it with candid, relatable lines like, “I just feel like this tightness in my chest/ Like an elephant is standing on me.” On the choruses, layers of her voice lap together to make a stirring wall of sound.
But if the opening lines of “Anxiety” sound familiar, that’s because the song had become a recognizable hit online before it was ever officially released. As Doechii explained in a recent video, she made the song a while back and independently uploaded it to YouTube, where it was heard and sampled...

In the midst of Paris Fashion Week — where she was recently seen rocking Valentino Haute Couture at the Louvre — Doechii has dropped a new song, “Anxiety,” that is actually an old song.
The buzzing rapper took to her Instagram story to tell the story: “I’m going to break down this lore to people who don’t understand it,” she said animatedly. She explained that she originally released “Anxiety” on YouTube four years ago, before her massive breakthrough in 2024. On the song, she raps over Gotye and Kimbra’s hit...

Celebrating 21 years of independent, breakout cinema and its first year in its new LA home, Slamdance 2025 kicks off for another edition of bold, original storytelling. First up on our docket is Cory Santilli’s In The Mouth, a crisp black-and-white comedy that operates on dream logic and plays by its own rules. A surprisingly personal film for how absurd it gives itself permission to be, but hands down one of the highlights of this year’s festival.
In The Mouth stars Colin Burgess (Inspector Ike) as an anxiety-riddled man named Merl, desperately looking for roommate. If he can’t scrape together some extra cash fast, he’s going to get evicted. But desperation doesn’t exactly attract the most trustworthy people and Merl is too occupied with his own problems to notice that he’s just welcomed a dangerous criminal into his home. It’s a real will-they/won’t-they-kill-eachother-in-their-sleep...

Conservationist Lek Chailert helps elephants recover from gruelling working lives in Thailand with joviality and grit in this engaging film
‘Have you ever had death threats?”, asks a voice behind from the camera. The question makes Thai conservationist Lek Chailert chuckle. “Many times. All the time!” Chailert is a tiny dynamo of a woman who has devoted her life to rescuing elephants exploited by the Thai tourist industry and illegal logging. With any luck, this documentary will find its way on to Netflix and reach a global audience, with the result that anyone planning to visit Thailand will cross an elephant ride off their bucket list.
We meet Chailert at her elephant sanctuary Elephant Nature Park, home to more than 100 rescues. Inevitably, Chailert has been called the elephant whisperer, and you can see why, watching her march along, a little line of elephants trooping behind. Chailert is funny and playful,...
