Liked it a lot while watching! Entertaining. Laughed out loud many times. Funny, moving movie -- with twists, a rootable relationship at its core, realistic relatable communication issues, and class differences. Good acting. Could have used more tightening and more consistency in what themes it was trying to cover.
The "4 rascals" were comparatively less developed compared to the love triangle. The bothersome nature sometimes of well-meaning family and friends trying to "help" was well-portrayed though. And the 4 had good comedic chemistry.
Without giving away spoilers, the villains were convincing and a good twist. I think there wasn't enough urgency shown once we found out who they were too.
Ending was adequately satisfying.
I had enjoyed the director's previous movie "House of No Man" too. Several of the actors in that are in this one too.
I only know a little Vietnamese. The subtitles seemed good at conveying what was happening.
