Northgate Pictures have released the official trailer (which is embedded below, along with the poster from SadistArt Designs and four still) from Easter Sunday, which stars the late Robert Z’Dar (Manaic Cop), who passed away earlier this year. The film will be dedicated in his memory.

A throwback to the campy and gory slashers of the ’80s, Easter Sunday is written and directed by Jeremy Todd Morehead. Along with Z’Dar and Morehead, the cast includes Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Edward X. Young (Mr. Hush) and Shawn C. Phillips (Ghost Shark).

As a special Easter treat, Northgate Pictures is egg-cited to present the first six minutes of Jeremy Todd Morehead's Easter Sunday. The slasher throwback stars Robert Z'Dar (Maniac Cop) and Ari Lehman (Friday The 13th). The story centers on a group of teenagers who accidentally conjure the spirit of a vicious serial killer, who was executited 24 years ago on Easter Sunday. Take a look at the opening scenes and a new poster from this upcoming thriller, which debuts August 9.

It's been 24 years since the deranged serial killer Douglas Fisher was executed by police on Easter night. These teens have until midnight on Easter to stop the evil bunny slasher, or he will tear their town - and everyone in it - to pieces.

Micro-budget horror film Easter Sunday released a teaser trailer today. The film is Northgate Pictures' loving nod to slasher films written and directed by Jeremy Todd Morehead which stars horror vets Robert Z’Dar and Ari Lehman. Edward X. Young, Shawn C. Phillips, Paige Taylor, Christine Galbraith, William Bozarth, Jon McKoy and Travis Marion also star.
