Decent enough, but...

The movie is decent enough in itself, but they definitely shouldn't have stated to us in the movie that this story happens 3 years later, which in real life of course it is. However I might not have thought about the age of the child actors in the advent calendar prequel Julekongen Where the 2 main characters, Kevin & Eiril, where both 3 years younger than them, and the one playing Mira should be at least 4 years difference considering she was supposed to be in kindergarten. However unfortunately the 3 years that's passed makes it far too obvious how much older than their characters they are which quite frankly ruins this movie quite a bit for me.

This is considered a direct sequel to TV series Julekongen (2012). However, likely due to budget cuts, only 8 of the 21 main actors from the series make an appearance in the film: Vetle Qvenild Werring (Kevin); Emma Rebecca Storvik (Eiril); Stella Stenman (Mira); Bjarte Tjøstheim (Anton and new character Roy); Tone Beate Mostraum (Sara); Herborg Kråkevik (Iris); Kyrre Hellum (Snerk); and Elyas Mohammed Salim (Fnugg). Aside from Hellum and Kråkevik, none of the grown-up actors who played main characters that resides in the Valley of Knights in the original are reprising their roles. Most of the characters who don't appear is left out with no explanation or references for their absence.
