Wo zui hao peng you de hun li

This is the Chinese remake of the well known rom com movie as I read in the pages wiki. I m not sure if I have seen the original movie Another fun rom com that can make you smile all the time In short as possibly was in the original movie the main character a very beautiful and successful manager had a nearly lifetime friendship with a boy who is now calling her to marry him in Rome. Very jealous with his new wife tries unsuccessfully to stop this wedding.

Quite unoriginal story don't you think? Many years ago I was in a trip in Singapore , on 1989, and seen another Chinese couple married in the ....Christian way as the movies couple and really wonder . Did they stopped using the traditional Chinese way? China has very rich traditions and even on 90s they changed manners.. Though Greek I have many connections in Malaysia and still love to see traditional Muslim weddings.

The movie can be watched with a nice smile and you can enjoy with it as like a down to earth fairy tale 6/10.

I'm not one to comment, but this movie is so bad that it actually inspired me to share my review.. Plot is shallow, acting is lousy, character and direction is sh@t. Everything don't make sense!

The beginning is to make the rural entrepreneurs show off their rich breath, and the follow-up plot is the representative work of Dog's Blood and No. 2 Middle School. Brain is really important to people.

This is another one of the lousy shallow cliché Chinese romantic movies that would bore you to death. I don't know what's wrong with the nowadays Chinese young generation. They are obsessed with the western lifestyle, they would try every way to put themselves into the western way of life. They dream about having their wedding ceremony in a foreign country instead of in a Chinese place, or they would like to go to the most expensive resort in China to have their wedding. Everything must be more or the most like the western, if they didn't have such arrangement, it would become the most unforgiving sin in their marriage. Such excuse might become an excuse to get divorced later. The Chinese young people now are too shallow, too materialized, too unrealistic, they just don't want to be too Chinese, so their movies are following such laughable procedure to be more like a 2nd copy of a western movies. They not only like to copycat international famous brands of consumer products, they even like to produce movies with Chinese actors but with completely copied western style crap. Why they have to do such things is beyond my comprehension. Why two Chinese young man and woman have to have their wedding in Rome? Two strangers in a strange land would be deemed romantic? Since there is nothing to tell, so they again used the cliché "love triangle" to make this hollow movie. Is it really necessary to make another crappy movie again?

When I stumbled upon the 2016 romantic drama "Wo Zui Hao Peng You De Hun Li" (aka "My Best Friend's Wedding") here in 2022, I immediately picked up the movie and sat down to watch it. Why? Well simply because the movie had Shu Qi on the cast list. Well, the fact that this was a Chinese movie that I hadn't already seen also did help to make me want to watch it.

Writers Xiao Li and Miao Yu managed to put together a rather enjoyable and entertaining storyline. Sure, while the narrative felt somewhat generic at first, the two writers actually managed to put enough of a spin on the storyline to keep it fresh and enjoyable.

Not only was it a good storyline that drove the movie, but also some good acting performances. But more importantly, then it was also some interesting and well-written characters that drove the narrative forward. Again, thumbs up to the writers for accomplishing this.

Shu Qi was very nicely cast for this movie and carried the movie quite well with her performance. Lead actor Shaofeng Feng also put on a good performance in this movie, as did Victoria Song.

I was actually genuinely entertained by this movie from director Feihong Chen, and it is a movie that is quite worth watching, especially if you enjoy romantic dramas.

My rating of "Wo Zui Hao Peng You De Hun Li" lands on a six out of ten stars.
