30 Years to Life

My boyfriend and I seen this movie about six months ago with low expectations....... and we were thoroughly surprised. We both enjoyed this movie and wondered why no one has talked about it before. This is a movie that has been really slept on by critics and audiences. I personally think it was not featured in the theaters because it did not have any of the "huge" Hollywood Black actors. However, much of the cast has been seen on TV shows or movies before. In fact about half of the cast is not new to the movie industry.

What Iliked about the film was that it did not have any of the "typical" Black stereotypes. It was strictly a comedy-romance that centered on a group of friends for a year. We need more movies like this where there is a mostly Black cast but we are not throwing race jokes around all the time.
