Anecdotes
One of the scenes in the movie was shot at the exactly same spot where George Lucas himself filmed several scenes for his La guerre des étoiles (1977) saga. It was the so-called "Camel Head Rock" in the Sahara Desert in Tunisia. The area was the set for the famous pod-race scenes and the location where Darth Maul launched the hunt for the Naboo Royal Starship and fought Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Épisode I: La menace fantôme (1999). Locations nearby were also used for Les aventuriers de l'arche perdue (1981) and Le patient anglais (1996).
