The design of Thundurus is inspired by Raijin, the Shinto god of lightning and thunder. Raijin was also the inspiration to an earlier unused design for what would become Raichu, the evolution of Pikachu.
This video game takes place in the Normal Timeline of the Pokémon multiverse, together with Poketto monsutâ faiareddo (2004), Poketto Monsutâ Rîfugurîn (2004), Poketto Monsutâ Emerarudo (2004), Poketto monsutâ: Purachina (2008), Poketto monsutâ Hâtogôrudo (2009), Poketto monsutâ Sourushirubâ (2009), Poketto monsutâ Howaito (2010), Poketto monsutâ Burakku 2 (2012) and Poketto monsutâ Howaito 2 (2012).
The main characters are Hilbert and Hilda.
