MA NOTE
Commentaire en vedette
Dave Allen discusses time and communication problems, religion, politics and enjoys a glass of scotch.
BBC4 put this out without any content warnings, Bravo, in an age where George and Mildred gets trigger warnings (the first funny thing from ITV in 2025.)
Now this is how to celebrate Christmas, they knew what they were doing in 1984, this was an exquisite hour of comedy.
Dave Allen at his absolute best, for my money he will forever be the best standup of all time, this proves my point, it's side splitting, expertly delivered, it's intelligent, his brand of humour was so clever.
The time sketch is hilarious, I loved Henry ill in hospital, but best of all is the Threads sequence, that really was incredible.
Enjoy plenty of familiar faces, the likes of Sam Kelly and Susan Jameson, I bet they had a ball making this.
10/10.
